16 March 2011
We are supposed to get 27 of our citizens back tomorrow.
Actually, they were supposed to come back today, but the South finally agreed to send them back by sea, and the weather turned out to be too bad to do so. Tomorrow is supposed to be better, so tomorrow afternoon is when we are set to receive them.
I'm sure the South will keep their eyes on those 27 for as long as they can after they're back on North Korean soil, but as soon as their out of the South's sight we're taking all of them in for questioning. They've got some explaining to do, if not for themselves, then for the four traitors who are staying in the South.
This will be interesting, yes.
Preparing now, 임 상 규
((I'm going on a trip again, yaaaayy. So no journals for a couple days. :C))

Idiot Brother.
"Oh, I want to resume talks," he says! Yeah right. If that were true, then why does he reject every offer I make to restart them? We said a few days ago we were ready to talk about the nuclear program and all that crap he's always whining about, and yet the South Koreans reject the offer.
As always!
They demand we take steps to dismantle the program on our own first. Not going to happen. If we start shutting things down, they'll just keep saying it's not enough. So we'll have to shut more things down, and pretty soon we'll be left with nearly nothing and the South still won't agree to talks. That leaves us nearly unarmed and them calling all the shots. Hardly seems fair, yes? I believe the point of the Six Party Talks is to discuss all this stuff in a way where everyone wins a little, is it not? So why should I do anything before talks start?
Most idiotic person I have the displeasure to be related to.
Damn Southerners, 임 상 규

I can't believe this...
South Korea and America are planning to hold talks on 'extended deterrence,' which basically means they're going to get together and brainstorm ideas to make my life suck. They tend to do that as it is, but the fact that they're planning to hold a two day meeting just for that...doesn't make me want to cooperate with South at all.
Maybe I should hook up with Iran and brainstorm some ideas to make America's life suck. I bet the meetings were America's idea anyway.
Damn capitalists, 임 상 규

Okay... I lied.
I said I didn't want to cooperate with South Korea anymore, well... A while ago I proposed talks about Mt. Baekdu. That volcano on my border with China, yes? And he agreed, so we worked out an agreement to hold joint talks on it next Tuesday.
The concern is that Mt. Baekdu has been showing increased activity. It last erupted in 1903, so it's a bit overdue, perhaps. And it wouldn't just affect North Korea if it erupted, which is why South accepted, I believe. The South Koreans probably want to investigate but need to work out a way to be allowed into the country.
We'll see about that last part.

Damn Americans, always sticking their noses into everyone else's business. They're not the 'police force' of the world, so I don't know why they try to be.
Of course, that's all just a cover-up for what they're doing right now. They invaded Libya, yes? Despicable. This is all a part of their plan to get Libya's oil fields under their control, greedy Americans, and it's working.
It started when Libya let go of their nuclear program, yes? The United States tempted them with sweet words, saying they'd guarantee security and improve relations with them. So Libya gave up their nuclear program, and what's happening now? They're getting bombed by the Americans and their oil will soon be under US control, all under the disguise that "oh, we are helping civilians." The Americans were the ones that started this in the first place by instilling democracy in the Libyans minds, knowing they'd rebel and that they'd need assistance, so then they'd get access to the oil fields. Disgusting, hypocritical Americans.
See, if I ever give up my nuclear program, this same thing will happen. The US will rush in and take over all the mineral resources, but as long as I have that leverage, he's too much of a wimp to do anything about it.
I don't see why Brother finds the need to associate with them. Soon he'll be just a Western as them. How disgraceful.
Disgusted,임 상 규((So, apparently North Korea got pissed at the US over Libya and condemned the military action the US has taken there. They also tried to defend their nuclear program at the same time by using Libya as an example... Oh, and they called it a "hideous crime against humanity." LOOK WHO'S TALKING, MUCH? channel6newsonline.com/2011/03/north-korea-condemns-u-s-military-attack-on-libya/ ))

Today was...actually a sort of relaxing day for me.
I didn't have to be at any major meetings or military drills or anything. I just went down to the DMZ for a little while this morning and kept an eye on things, but in the afternoon they had things under control so I got the rest of the day to myself.
And I realized I don't know what to do with spare time anymore. I never really have any.
It's still too cold here to really do anything, so I just...went back home. And then I got there and realized I don't know what to do with myself at home either. Normally I'm not there long enough to do anything more than eat, bathe, and sleep. So, eventually I just cleaned up around the house a bit and went to bed early to try and get some extra sleep...
It didn't really work, but...I'm mostly stuck on the fact that I was actually kind of bored for once.
I should've called up Iran or something.

Well, the leaflets South Korea keeps dropping here are beginning to become a real problem...
So we're going to start cracking down on it. We warned the public today that they're all filled with the propaganda of Southern warmongers, and by buying into it they are all giving in to their psychological warfare.
We also said that no one is to keep anything that drops from balloons, no matter what it is. We didn't exactly say what we would do to the people we caught keeping things but...they know.
We'll watch, 임 상 규

I am becoming very tempted to harrass Kim-gahka to allow UN food distributors in here.
They basically refuse to send food aid unless we allow them into the country, but most of the government officials and myself don't want to allow them in. I don't want a bunch of Westerners running around in rural areas...who knows what they'll do while they're out there. We're not equipped to effectively monitor them in the provinces they would most likely be visiting.
So I'm in a bind again...
How lovely, 임 상 규

Oh dear, it's been a year, hasn't it?
As if I couldn't tell from all the anti-North protests all along the border.
Oh yes, it's the one year anniversary of the sinking of South's stupid boat that he makes such a big deal over. March 26 last year. And once again, there are people in towns along the DMZ and in Seoul and basically all over the South holding protests and burning my flags and pictures of the Dear Leader.
They will have to pay for that.
After all, burning pictures of the Dear Leader is a very serious crime indeed. Those are considered sacred here...
So maybe a few burning South Koreans would pay for that, yes? If we turn Seoul into a sea of flame, I suppose that would suffice...
Just saying, 임 상 규

((Hi, guess who forgot to do this last night? >w>))
27 March 2011
So, after a lot of arguing and negotiating and talking with South Korea, we finally got those 27 North Koreans back today. We still weren't able to get the other four back, but that's alright. I've got 27 others who are in for some intense interrogation.
Also, South Korean activists had been saying they were going to be dropping leaflets over here again yesterday and today, but it's evening now and I haven't had to go out and shoot any balloons down. I guess that means they decided not to do it.
Good, I don't want to waste any more ammo on them.

We've begun interrogations with the 27 North Koreans we got sent back to us. We let them go home for the night but we had guards watching their houses, and this morning we brought some of them back and started questioning them. Mostly what I personally want to know it why the other four would let themselves be persuaded to stay in the South. Traitors. I want to know what they were thinking.
In other news, we start talks over Mt. Baekdu with South Korea tomorrow...I can't wait to see how that goes...

29 March 2011
So today we had a team of geologists and meteorologists go meet up with some South Koreans in Munsan, which is actually on the South side of the border. I trust them though...scientists tend to be smarter than sailors, I suppose...
Anyway, they actually came to an agreement and decided to continue doing research on Mt. Baekdu together. They discussed holding more talks in early April, but the South was all "we'll think about it" as always... It's a start, I suppose.
Also... I cannot believe I am writing this... But we sent money to Japan. Yes, Japan.
Although, Kim-gahka made absolutely sure it went to a pro-Pyongyang group in Japan. Really, I could care less about that bastard Kiku. I'm more concerned for Koreans in Japan affected by the earthquake. And I don't trust Kiku with Koreans in his country.
And it makes us look like generous people. That's a plus...
Long live the Dear Leader, 임 상 규
((So, apparently North Korea donated $500,000 to Japan. That's a LOT of money to a North Korean. The website I looked at said that's the equivalent of 520 North Korean's yearly salaries. But this was JUST Kim Jong Il who donated it from what I understand. SO ONE PERSON. Of course, he sent it to some pro-Pyongyang group in Japan to make sure it went to someone who likes him.))

30 March 2011
So we had some diplomats go talk to some Americans in Germany...
And apparently it went okay, from what I heard. The Americans were not official there for talks--in fact, they weren't even officially there for the United States--they were just a bunch of people specialized in nuclear stuff who agreed to show up and talk. Our diplomats and the Americans mostly discussed nuclear weapons and agreed to try to normalize North Korean-US relations, so they actually came to an agreement on something, but only time will tell if the Americans actually go through with their agreement.
Long live the Dear Leader, 임 상 규
((fjkslfjkd Koreans. Having secret meetings. >:T Okay, not really, but I swear this just popped out of no where. There was no info about it at all until today, which is apparently when the talks were held. Normally I find out about this stuff a week or two in advance because when there are plans to hold talks, it's usually announced or leaked to the press somehow. So all of a sudden it was like "HEY WE'RE SOLVING PROBLEMS YAY" with no warning whatsoever. xD))

This is getting really, really old.
I'm sick of "Oh no, an apology isn't a precondition to restarting talks! We just refuse to talk to you until you do!" As far as I'm concerned, that is the same exact thing. And anyway, North Korean talks with America are none of the South's concern. That's why they weren't invited. If the Americans want to talk, so let them.
Sick of it.
But on a more positive note, the Southerners did decide to allow private organizations to donate food again. And the UN decided they're going to send some. Eventually...
Well. It's about time.

1 April 2011
I really should stop suggesting talks to South Korea.
They've made it clear they are never going to accept them until I apologize. Which I will never do. So what's the point, really?
Of course, they can't wait forever. They know we've got artillery pointed right at Seoul and can launch all of it at the push of a button. They'll have to give in eventually...we've got the weapons, right?
Also, apparently the 1st of April is some kind of stupid holiday in America. I don't really understand it...looking at all their websites, it just looks like they act stupider. And I thought they really couldn't get any dumber, Americans...
Oh well. Leave them to their devices, I suppose...
Frustrated, 임 상 규
