Hello! Belgium here of course, and I agreed with Romano that we should have a thread where we could plot something. Of course it can be for one on one planning too, but anything concerning Spain,Netherlands, Romano, Belgium and maybe even Luxembourg(Hope we get one <3).
It would be nice if we could have a little family get together, though I don't know of any historical events where all of them/us would be together.
In any case..any ideas or opinions would be gladly received!

Hm... if you count wars to be like dysfunctional family get togethers, I would say the Dutch Revolt involves you Flemish lot. Though Italy was not as involved with that. Honestly, Spain either paid attention to one over the other or neither. xD; So... that might be hard. The only other thing where I think there is all of them is potentially the end of the War of Spanish Succession... when I believe Spain gives up S.Italy to Austria and Netherlands (with Belgium) probably had some say in the treaty that ended the war.
Sorry, I know that isn't helpful... but I hope that is something? Perhaps we can do it as a crack thread if it doesn't work out!

I did some research, but sadly enough Italy and the Netherlands don't have much history with each other. The only close ties they had with each other were through their artists. And...when they do (Fifth Coalition of the Napoleonic Wars), Spain isn't involved. Of course there's the Spanish empire which included Benelux/The Netherlands, South Italy and the American colonies. Basically, the years before the Eighty Year's War/Dutch Revolt.
But yes, there aren't really major events with all four involved...but maybe it's enough for a thread. :3

Well, it's not like we have to roleplay out a war or major history event, right? We could very well just roleplay out a scene from the time they were all under Spain's rule, doing whatever at his house and having a pretty awesome time or not? You know, like they actually do in Hetalia, doing whatever since the strips and episodes don't always focus on a war, most of the time they're doing random things with each other instead. I'm sure we could come up with something for them all to do considering there was a time when all four, in Hetalia terms, lived with Spain in his house.
If you want of course? :D

Okay, even though I'm not really involved in this in any way, shape, or form, I've been reading the plotting ( it's a habit of mine, along with threadstalking xD ), and I have to say, I really like South Italy's plan. In my thread with Lithuania, for example, we have our characters discussing the Holocaust/morality/what-have-you during a time when Toris is a servant in Ludwig's house, and Ludwig's stopping home for a few days on the way to somewhere else. There's no event that corresponds to this historically, but it fits in with the timeframe and has been a lot of fun. : D It's all up to you guys, of course, but I just wanted to point out that you don't have to stick purely to documented historical events if you don't want to. Anything that would be plausible for the timeframe works without having to be crack or AU, even if it's something trivial like....I dunno, they all go shopping for dresses together or something. XDXD Hopping back out now to let the plotting commence. ^^ *salutes respectfully and leaves*

It's worth thinking about, but usually when I think historical rping, I usually think events. Anyway, I'll just let you guys figure out what you wanna do and I'll just go along with it. I'm not usually around for plotting because these next two months, I'll really only have time to drop a post (because I'll be working 55 hour weeks).
However, y'all lived under my rule before the Dutch Revolt. So... any time before then... and after 1501 is fine by me.
