(((My Reflection)))
Nation: Kingdom of Norway
Name: Nils Olstad
Gender: Male
Appearance Age: 20
Hair Color: Blond
Eye Color: Blue
Height: 5'7
Weight: 137 lbs
Appearance:
Of the main five Nordics, Norway is the one of middle stature. Not as tall as Denmark or Sweden, but taller than Finland and Iceland. When compared to the general populace, he is a bit on the short side, but not overly so. His entire build is very slight, which leads to his low weight and generally small features.
Nils is not the most flamboyant of dressers, but he doesn't really dress simply either. It would be fair to say his wardrobe lies in between comfort and fashion. He likes the color blue and other colors that are usually associated with the ocean or sailing, however he also likes to highlight his formal clothing with gold. He likes to add light accessories at times, but the only constant addition to his wardrobe is his hair pin, which is in the shape of a Nordic cross. He wears this regardless of what else he is wearing.
One major quirk of Norway's appearance is his facial expression. Most of the time, Norway makes no visual facial expressions at all. Only when he is totally taken off guard will he don a full expression at all. However, those who are familiar with him can usual tell his temperament from the smaller clues on his face.
(((Know Thyself )))
Personality: Typically speaking, Norway is a very low energy individual. He isn’t prone to doing frivolous things that take a whole lot of physical effort. In fact, even on a sunny day, he’d likely choose to read a book over going outside. He doesn’t particularly believe in trying to fix the rest of the world and typically seeks to interact with it officially as little as possible. As noted, Norway doesn’t show any emotion in his face or voice when he talks unless something really takes him off guard.
Norway isn't one of those people who acts serious in public but is privately a much more wild person. He actually is just as together and structured as he lets on. The only difference is that he is more affectionate privately. While public displays make him incredibly uncomfortable, he has less of a problem speaking whimsically behind closed doors. Still, he has a preoccupation with not losing himself in any relationship, so he's not quick to allow someone to call him theirs and in turn, he doesn't claim ownership over others.
To his self proclaimed best friend Denmark, he is almost always sarcastic and negative, although typically he is too discreet for the other to notice. On the other hand, he is a bit more playful with his little brother Iceland and leans on the agreeable side when it comes to Finland and Sweden. However, he hardly has had the best past with Sweden either, so he doesn't accept when people act like the tallest Nordic is some saint.

Dislikes:
✖ Loud, boisterous behavior
✖ Ignorance
✖ Being tied by too many groups
✖ Russian encroachment on his territory.
✖ Too much foreign influence
✖ Napoleon Bonaparte
✖ Being traded like some colony
Fears:
☣ He'll have to eventually join the EU to stay globally relevant
☣ That he'll fail at keeping his cool in public (self conscious)
☣ That they'll once again be a global conflict and he'll be dragged into it
Secrets:
♦ That he adores cute things
♦ At times he appreciates the other nordics more than he lets on and wouldn't trade them for any other group out there.
♦ He's actually been smitten a few times romantically, though he's recently decided it's best those occasions remain memories over jumping off points.
Strengths:
Norway is a talented photographer, has a strong will, is able to stay composed under pressure(of most varieties), is decisive and intellegent. He also has a good sense of direction and is a good navigator. On top of this, he can see magical creatures and cast spells, similar to England.
Weaknesses:
Norway is overly concerned about staying an individual to the point of not letting others in, he is on the self-involved side, he gets easily embarrassed when it comes to amorous displays, he isn't physically imposing and he isn't good at explaining or teaching things (he gets annoyed when people just don't simply know or understand).

Allies:
Norway is allied with the entire EU, though even more closely with the rest of Northern Europe, such as Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Iceland. Norway is also allied with the other non-EU European nations of Switzerland, Liechtenstein as non EU members of the EEA.
Enemies:
Being a nation of neutrality, Norway doesn't really have enemies. However, he often has boarder disputes with Russia and is currently facing whaling issues from several other nations. Throughout his history, he has been at odds with many other nations, however this was often more a result of who he was aligned with than his own doing.
Sample Post:
It was once said that the decision to have children was the decision to forever allow your heart to walk outside of your body. It was a cute sentiment. It was also a very human one. Nations didn't have children like humans did, you just traveled around and eventually you'd find one. Back in the day, anyway. Today there wasn't much space for new nations, though the young Sealand proved that hardly meant they were done appearing. Sometimes these children would resemble you, sometimes they wouldn't. Often you wouldn't even be part of their lives long enough to feel much of an attachment to them.
But that was hardly every time. Norway had traveled enough to have enough new born nation colonies to beat statistics. He knew the difference between a lackey and a little brother. He had raised both, but only one of the two ever truly got a piece of your heart, only one ever seemed to want it. It was an obvious feeling. But it was one that had run its course.
Standing on the dock, he leaned his elbows on a fence. The wind lightly ruffled his hair as it moved through. He didn't get sentimental often, but when it hit, it could hit hard. He didn't like to think of himself as a family guy and he certainly didn't think of himself as some child focused house wife. But he did miss it at times. Being needed to raise a younger generation, getting to impart his customs and values upon it. It could be rewarding.
But, clearly it could also leave you wanting for days that would never come back. He reminded himself that was what all relationships did. Nothing was forever and unlike humans, he had a big slice of time to remember everything he lost because he had invested too much in it. It was best to stay detached from others. It was just the way it needed to be. If he had to be frozen to be safe, it was okay.
