Yep! This is basically just a place to post what songs you listen to when you write your forum posts. You can just post general songs for a certain mood, or which song you listened to when writing for a certain thread, or songs that fit characters, etc. Just about anything! Hopefully this will be a way to expand everyone's musical libraries and introduce some new music to each other! Post links if you can. I guess I'll just start out posting a couple: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sj0sDOGeQVw&feature=relatedI listened to this all through the secret meeting between the Koreas. It's from an absolutely heartwrenching, soul-stabbing, godIcriedsohard Korean War movie, but it's a good all around sad-mood song. www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCe-Bnz6msYWould be good for when you're writing about a rebellion or something. It also kind of became my song for NK. >w> Someone else's turn! Grace our ears with your inspiration!

Here's what's been inspiring me lately, although I promise I won't into into full on music geek rant mode. XD www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5AjWKLtrM4&feature=related The Cave by Mumford and Sons. It's this gorgeous, shambling folky song with the most profoundly beautiful lyrics. In my head it's basically Lithuania's theme song. It fits him so perfectly and I get goosebumps every time I listen to it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAh--lH0H3U&ob=av3eMany of Horror by Biffy Clyro. It's really messed up and poignant and anthemic and tragic and completely one hundred percent about Russ/Lith. XD www.youtube.com/watch?v=jALu4uTn2AgPlease Please Please Let Me Get What I Want by The Smiths. Because Toris completely fails at life and never gets what he wants. XD www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-xRRZUeC9AWhile My Guitar Gently Weeps by The Beatles. Lyrically and musically it just seems to fit Lithuania so well. It reminds me especially of the WWII era stuff, since it has that kind of really sad, passive, "how did things end up like this", slightly sinister feel to it, from the point of view of someone who's completely powerless to change things and is just being forced to watch as things get more and more tragic. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0m9EWNDq9hwLuka by Suzanne Vega. Because Liet is such an abuse victim, poor love. Um...I could go on forever about music and writing and suchlike but...I won't.

While I just let iTunes run it's course as I'm posting, I sometimes just gather songs from my library and just make a playlist for that certain post then get rid of it after lol. I like to pick songs that both fit the mood and the character. With America it's a bit... harder for me considering I listen to kind of... not positive music for the most part, but when I do find something that fits him while posting I'll use it. Or whatever somewhat works at least lol.

Hm. I don't really have much of a playlist that I use while posting. I...can't have background music. Or noise. At all. If there's music on, I'll end-up just sitting and listening to it and involuntarily singing it myself, because I'm kinda an audiophile like that...
But before I'm ready to post, to get me into a certain mood, I do have some songs I always use.THE SWEDEN PLAYLISTUsed when getting into the Sweden mindset. No reason in particular, I guess, it's just the easiest group of songs for me to throw together. And for some reason, it helps. >_> ~ Sexy F*** (Remix) by Olmstead (You know this is first on Berwald's iPod. xD) ~ Occult and The Last Prophecy by SynthR ~ Timebomb by Beck ~ Regenbogen and Sick by Vibestyler ~ Fejs and Još Uvek by Milan Stankovic ~ Emerald Sword by Rhapsody of Fire ~ Anything by Ensiferum ~ Anything by Apocalyptica
There are others, but these are the consistent onesTHE EPIC PLAYLISTGenerally listened to when I need pushed into some manner of epic mindset. Or serious mindset. Basically any scenario where either someone's butt is being or is going to be kicked, or when I just really need to get super deadly serious for any reason whatsoever. ~ Diem Ex Dei by Globus ~ Entering the Stronghold by Denny Schneidemesser ~ O Fortuna by Carl Orff ~ Requiem for a Tower (Movements 2 - 4) as performed by Cornerstone Cues ~ Ten Years Kashmir II as performed by Cornerstone Cues ~ Mankind BGM from the game Vindictus ~ Dominance by Yoshihiro Ike ~ I Don't Think Now is the Best Time by Hans Zimmer ~ Requiem Mass in D Minor by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ~ O Verona & Escape by Craig Armstrong

China’s Playlist

Out of Reach Language: English Artist: Volitare Sample: You'll burn my flag You're my demise You'll orchestrate my fall You’ll burn my bridge You'll kill my cat You'll scale my castle wall To get to me
When Used: Hm. Pretty much any invasion ever, but more targeted towards the Western hemisphere.
Strawberry GashesLanguage: English Artist: Jack Off Jill Sample: Hex me, told her I dreamt of a devil that knew her Pale white skin with strawberry gashes all over, all over
Watch me fault her You're living like a disaster She said: kill me faster With strawberry gashes all over When Used: Opium Wars. Just--yes. Opium Wars.
Tsumugi Uta ;; Spinning SongLanguage: Japanese Artist: Vocaloid Sample: In the short time We have to play out Our lives, We get our feet Swept off by the calm. Remaining with the memories We will always have, Spinning them into two spirals, And then they fade away. When Used: Imperial!China tends to listen to this a lot. Either that or when it is time to remember the past for the same effects we try to predict the future.
If You Can Hear ThisLanguage: English Artist: Nomy Sample: You can stay and wait for nothing Still the rain will fall on you The bleeding is over, you said but its not What you're thinking of is all what they forgot What if you told her now you're alone If you can here this were you are then come on homeWhen Used: Can't lie on this one, Asia!Family demands that I listen to it constantly.
East AsiaLanguage: Japanese Artist: Miyuki Nakajima Sample: The name of our homeland is East Asia, Land of the dark eyes, It needs no difficult words to describe it Just, East AsiaWhen Used: One of my favorites, and completely wonderful to listen to when roleplaying any Asian country. It's phenomenal, and I use it for the same reason. It really gets you in the mood to roleplay with any Asian nation.
Dance With the DevilLanguage: English Artist: Breaking Benjamin Sample: Close your eyes, so many days go by. Easy to find what's wrong, Harder to find what's right. I believe in you, I can show you that I can see right through all your empty lies. I won't stay long, in this world so wrong. When Used: Normally Cold War era, or anything that has to do with the iron curtain/red scare.
”Boston”Language: English Arist: Augustana Sample: You said: You don’t know me, You don’t even care. Oh yeah— She said, you don’t know me. You don’t wear my chains. When Used: Has no reason, minus China!Muse feels quite alone most of the time. Probably alludes to more isolationist attitude then anything else.
Beauty Song (Jia Ren Qu)Language: Chinese Artist: Zhang Ziyi Sample: A rare beauty in the East She's the finest lady on earth A glance from her, the city falls A second glance leaves the whole nation in ruins There is no city or nation that has been More cherished than a beauty like this. When Used: ...Do I have to have a reason? Yes? Well--It's far more imperial!isolationist China then anything. Probably the root of his pride, or the honor of China's beauty placed into words. At least, when they were The Middle Kingdom and the Western nations were still foreign to East Asia.

Man, I probably should have posted this back in October when I was really inspired, but I guess it's better late than never, no? When playing Spain, I tend to listen to random songs, but I find myself repeating the following songs~ Note that I don't do Latino rock, it just doesn't gel with me as well as some others~ Bailamos by Enriqué InglesiasBecause I like old school Enriqué. And dancing. And so why not dance to a song that is about dancing?! Bulèria by David BisbalI also like songs about flamenco... and love... and men with bed spring hair singing their hearts out while standing on mountains. Plus, what's to not like about men fighting it out West Side story in a bull ring? /shot Torre de Babel by David Bisbal (feat. Wisin y Yandel)This gets me into the mode for writing about darker threads. La Tortura by Shakira (feat. Aléjandro Sanz)I just like this song. :c And Aléjandro and Shakira. Um, yeah! Asturias (Leyenda), Sevilla, Castillas y Cataluña by Issac AlbenizI also like listening to classical guitar as well. Technically Austrias the first region of Spain that rebelled against the Moors... so passionate! Anyway, I tend to pick depending on the region that Spain is travelling, but alkdjf;alksd all of them are good! I listen to a lot of flamenco music, surprisingly when I write, but I won't torture you guys with that. The list is too long! Some other songs I listen to in general when I am writing: - Anberlin (Alexithymia, Cadence, Foreign Language, Never Take Friendship Personal, etc.) - Big Bang (Good-Bye Baby, Forever With You) - Bruno Mars (Liquor Store Blues) - David Bisbal (al-Ándalus, Ave Maria, etc) - FAKE? (Everglow) - The FLARE (Lyra, forgive) - The Hush Sound (Don't Wake Me Up, Wine Red, Magnolia, Tangerine) - Inoran (faith) - Janne Da Arc (Everything by them) - Kenchiiro Nishihara (Life, Humming Jazz) - L'Arc~en~Ciel (Shi no Hai) - Lin Jun Jie (Jing Nan, Di Er Tian Tang, etc.) - Pleymo (laugh calvin, divine excuse) - Porcupine Tree and King Crimson (most songs off the Absentia, The Incident album and Fear of a Blank Planet) - Tokyo Incidents (rat's nest) - Wheesung (Most songs on It's Real, Like A Movie, For The Moment, Love...? Love... Love!)
