"That- That infuriating little git!" Arthur Kirkland seethed as he paced his living room floor, almost burning a hole through the lush carpet. Throwing himself onto the plush armchair of his, the Briton took couple of deep breaths and massaged the side of his head, trying to calm down. He couldn't. The mess was in his head now, bloody hell, and he couldn't think of anything else. Sighing profusely, the blonde smoothed down his ruffled hair and huffed, looking out the window. Not the best idea, he realized - the skies were grey, cloudy, and almost as if it was laughing at England.
Snarling, the Britishman curled his fingers around his collars and tugged, feeling as he was being choked with the tension and the feeling. Taking off his tie and his usual, well-and crisp ironed uniform, he switched into his robes and the magic clothing, a dark grin on his features. This time, Russia wouldn't come out - that was for absolute sure. Not to mention, if Russia did come out, the spell would probably be broken like the chair. Shuddering at the memory, Arthur wrapped the cloak around himself more tightly and began to walk down the stairs, muttering curses under his breath. It was way too cold and dark there, with a scent of disgusting mold.
"Bah... Now, where is that..." Arthur scuffled around the many bookcases, taking care to see if there was any book mold on it, then began to shift through the section he needed to see, Emerald eyes glittered in the darkness, and he pushed the switch, letting the lightbulb flicker to life. Snatching the book ornamented with a sheer crystal the size of his fist from the bookshelf carefully, he peeked into the pages, hues lighting up as he chuckled a lowly. Now he'll teach that stupid git, America, a lesson. Almost gliding over to the floor, he sat down and began to read, his fingers moving along with the wand. Casting spells was not an easy task - it was a slow, hard process.
"Ah... Shimi no kuni sorh choudai sjiwhe..." Arthur whispered as he tapped the ground, one on the North, South, East, then West. Concentrating on the Spell, the Briton gritted his teeth, hurrying up with the total thing - he didn't want to waste time, and the Meeting was in couple of minutes. Hissing as he burned himself in a small flame, sucking lightly on the burnt spot. Mumbling, the Englishman finally tapped the ends of the rune circle, ending the spell. It glowed purple, pink, then red, staying that colour for a full minute before it faded away. Smirking, Arthur slipped the book into his pocket and climbed the stairs, with a final look downstairs.
Pulling on his usual green tie, he whistled 'God Save the Queen', then pulled on the rest of his usual attire - the black jacket, instead of the cape. Slipping out, England walked to the Meeting, throwing the door open and wishing, for once, that America would not be there. But of course, his spell had failed him at the most necessary time needed. A dark glare overcame his once jubilant emeralds. Alfred was still there. Being obnoxious, being stupid, being just... Alfred. Growling a little, he patted his pocket - the Magic book was still there. Why did it fail? Why had it failed him, so meanly?
