The Price for Freedom - [Hungary and Russia]

[Hungary]

Budapest, Hungary November 4th, 1956



The streets had been calm for sometime since the Soviets had retreated from Budapest, yet Elizaveta had an ominous feeling that had stuck with her for the past five days. She had lost contact with the Hungarian delegation and she was worried. Her current boss, Imre Nagy, along with the delegation had declared Hungary's Neutrality and withdrew from the Warsaw Pact. He had believed the UN would help them if he appealed to the other nations, but Elizaveta could sense something else at play. Something dark and sinister in the works.

If only she knew how right she was....

She resided in the Parliament building, sitting at one of the tables where her country's flag lay, a jagged hole where the Soviet crest had once resided. She had ripped the offending symbol from the cloth itself. She had led her people through the streets, destroying every bit of ugly Soviet paraphernalia from her city.

It had taken years for her to recover from the crushing defeat in the war, but she had waited patiently, healing and regaining her strength. The hate and anger towards her captor left to fester and grow, feeding the fires of desired vengeance.

And now her people had risen, the call of freedom once again driving her to incredible feats. They had destroyed his puppet government and sent those dogs fleeing with their tails between their legs.

It had seemed so surreal in the beginning. It had been ambitious, but it was a risk worth taking. The risk to claim freedom once again, to make due on her threat he had laughed at over a decade ago.

She had been surprised when the Soviets had agreed to make negotiations, Nagy had jumped at the chance, but Hungary just couldn't believe it. She couldn't shake the feeling the Russian was up to something. There was no way he would let her go so easily, yet there was nothing she could do till her boss returned and she hoped it would be with good news.

Suddenly a Revolutionary burst into the room. Sweat covered his brow, sandy blonde hair disheveled a look of shock still imprinted on his features.

"Héderváry! "

"Calm down soldier!" Hungary stood slowly, shouldering her rifle, concerned at this man's urgency, but determined to remain calm.

"The delegation has been arrested! They have Nagy mam'n!"

Surprisingly to the young soldier the woman did not seem surprised.

I knew you wouldn't let me go Ivan....

"Mam'n The Soviets are marching on Budapest as we speak! Scouts say the're coming from the East."

"Shit..." the word came out in a breath, this was it. Her eyes closed, her lips pressed in a thin line. "Has the UN responded to Nagy's appeals?"

"I don't know mamn but by the way they're advancing I don't think...."

THUD

The young man jumped at the sound of Hungary's fist punching the table. Her body shuddered as her knuckles pressed into the wood. Ivan was coming, bloodshed was imminent, but she had to be brave. She had come so far she couldn't back down now. The freedom of her people were at stake.

"M...Mam'n... what are your orders?"

"We fight..." she stepped past him and made her way out into the hall. The soldier followed her, in shock of what she had said.

"F...Fight?! But mam'n they'll slaughter us! They far out number us and..."

"Are you deaf??!" she whirled on him " We are fighting for our freedom here! Do you just want to give up all we've accomplished so far?! Now do as I say and ready the men!"

"Y...yes mam'n" The soldier retreated from the Hall and Elizaveta made her way out into the coutyard, she peered out over the horizon of her beloved Capital.

[Russia]

With operation “Whirlwind” well under way, Russia and his Red Army were now fully prepared to swoop in on Budapest and annihilate the Hungarian resistance. They had had the city completely encircled since last night, and were now in full position to “leap in for the kill” and put a stop to all the utter nonsense that had been going on within the delusionally defiant nation. With her declaration of neutrality, and withdraw from the Warsaw Pact, it seemed to Ivan as though Hungary and her new leader were just trying to incur his wrath. They were either incredibly naïve, or incredibly stupid if they thought for even a second that he would just sit back and idly watch them break all Soviet ties. He would have none of it. In fact, had his boss allowed him to personally call the shots, he would have crushed the silly little revolution long before now. But Russia’s leaders in particular had a way of never really listening to his advice, so the problem in Hungary had been allowed to fester for too long.

It really was frustrating, because his and China’s bosses had both been constantly changing their mind as to whether or not to use force in this situation. Ivan had told Khrushchev from the very start that he thought they should smash the Hungarian revolutionaries down forcefully. For one thing, just sitting back and doing nothing would undoubtedly be seen as a sign of weakness to the other nations. Russia was a global superpower after all; it was his job to keep his satellites in line. What would it say to Western nations such as America and England if he just rolled over and allowed the Hungarians break free and openly spit in the face of his government? Worse, what would it say to the rest of his satellite nations? How many would want to follow Hungary’s example?

Then there was the fact that Hungary's withdraw from the Warsaw Pact created a nasty breach in Soviet security. Should they decide to, the West could invade at any moment if Hungary was allowed to go through with her nonsense. His satellite states served as a lovely little buffer zone against Western invasion, after all. Them trying to struggle out of his grasp was simply unacceptable and Ivan was amazed and annoyed that Hungary had been allowed to get as far as she had with her attempts at freedom. As uncomfortable as Stalin had made him in his latter years as dictator, at least he would have never allowed things to escalate so far. Hopefully Khrushchev would get with the program and would not allow these uprisings to go so far next time. Hopefully his leader would actually listen to Ivan's logic of “dead revolutionaries can’t cause problems for Soviet supremacy.”

It seemed to him that his relatively new leader was usually content to write Russia’s suggestions of immediate violence at the first sign of resistance off as “hasty,” and he often claimed his nation was still suffering the effects of being “Stalinified.” Which greatly annoyed Ivan, since he did not draw any negative parallels between himself and his former leader; especially not where decision making was concerned.

But his leader had reined him in, and as a result, he and his men were now left making their way through a very depressing, anti-Soviet landscape. As they started their advance into Budapest, he and his Red Army were greeted with the infuriating sights of beautiful, Soviet symbols destroyed and torn from the buildings. His flags had been burned, and the bodies of Soviet officers were still hung up here and there amongst the rubble from the previous fighting.

He had known from the first time he had claimed Hungary that he would eventually have problems with her. There was simply too much fight in that one. Why couldn’t she just conform like a good little satellite nation? Things would go so much better for her if she just behaved herself and didn’t worry her pretty little head about such foolish things such as freedom. Their relations could be so much better then. Not that he minded blooding his hands with her revolutionary population, but if she wanted to avoid having her people slaughtered she was going about things the wrong way.

It was so very early in the morning, but already the sounds of artillery were starting to increase in frequency. Breaking away from his group, Ivan started off in search of the disobedient little nation who was responsible for all this. Being what they were, forcing Hungary herself back into line would be a big step in squashing the revolt. As long as she remained out there and unharmed, her people would remain spirited and difficult, no matter how small her forces were in comparison to his. De-spirited people were so much easier to work with.

The screams and shouts of revolutionaries and civilians alike were now joining in on the chaotic noise of the tank units and the gunshots. The city of Budapest had become a tricky playground to navigate, with not only enemies around every corner, but with his own men firing blindly at anything that moved. They couldn’t be bothered to check if they were actually killing the armed revolutionaries, so more than once Ivan was greeted with the sight of random Hungarian citizens being gunned down before his eyes. The people were not the only things getting completely destroyed as the Soviets fought for a quick victory; buildings were also taking heavy fire. More than once the pale Russian nation was dusted with light particles of building debris as made his way towards the still standing buildings of political importance.

He seemed a rather odd figure as he made his way through the brick streets. Not only was he completely ignoring most the revolutionaries that he caught sight of here and there amongst the growing amount of debris, but he carried a long faucet pipe with him. He had other weapons of course, hidden within his long overcoat, but this time he had been sure to bring his favorite method of attack with him in anticipation of his meeting with Hungary. He had not had it for their last little session, so he had been sure to grab it for this one.

He was not certain as to which of the main buildings Hungary would be in or around. They had already arrested her leader without a sign of her, so she could be in any one of the political buildings. Or, she could be out on the city streets trying to help her people. He knew it was something she would do, he only hoped that she had not had the time to charge out into the fray yet. Hunting her down in one of the buildings would be far easier than combing all of Budapest for her. Once she learned of the Soviet advance, she would have had to have known that he was coming for her. The question remained as to what she would do with that news. Would she be the type to charge out and meet him? Or would she try and slip away into the chaos of the streets and avoid her violet-eyed master? With her open acts of defiance, she thankfully seemed more likely to do the former.

Slinking behind one of the larger, important looking buildings, the Russian’s eyes scanned the area for any sign of the brown haired, green-eyed nation. What appeared to be a large courtyard was right in front of him, and he cautiously made his way towards it. It looked like the sort of important place that Hungary would prowl. “Elizaveta, come out and play.” His sing-song words were so very softly spoken and out of place amongst such chaos, that unless she was dangerously close she probably wouldn’t hear them, but with such violence, his sadistically playful side was starting to surface in full.

[Hungary]

Hungary could hear the unmistakeable sound of the artillary, so the Soviets were finally here. Ivan was here. She had an urge to go out among the streets and kill every man she saw that bore that crest but she had to remain here. Ivan was sure to come calling and the longer she could keep him isolated from his men the better chance she would have to fight him.

She remained crouched on the platform, checking her rifle to make sure it was cocked and ready. She had been quite apt to guns, a good aim and a sharp eye from the days of bow and arrow on horseback, but the devastation they caused still caused a pain in her gut. However, they were the weapon of the times and she adjusted to them as she had to many things over the years.

She drew in a shakey breath, heart pounding in her ears as she waited for the giant Russian. Though ashamed to admit it, the thought of him looming over her with the crazed look in his eye caused a fear beyond no other. She had met him on the field of battle before and each time he had beaten her, no matter how hard or long her fighting spirit drove her, it wasn't enough to beat him. He was to big, to powerful, to crazy to overcome and she couldn't help but have doubt in her heart as the sound of gunfire drew closer.

But no matter how dire it seemed, she had to fight. She had to keep going. Too long she had lived under the rule of others, and she yearned for freedom as much as her people, but one had to fight to obtain such a feat. One had to win.

She tugged at the chain around her throat, a now dull gold band came up out of her military jacket that had resided against her breastbone. After all these years she had still kept her wedding ring. The last bit of thing she found comforting in this dark era of war and oppression. A reminder of the happiest years of her life. She clasped the cool metal band in her palm, her eyes closed as she tried to tune out the gunfire and steel her heart for the fight sure to come. She thought of her ex husband, where was he now? She had trusted him to be safe with Germany during the war, but after Ludwig had surrendered and her capture by the Soviets she had lost track of him and now he was lost to her completly, beyond that Iron Curtain. She felt a dull ache surround her insides, though they were now divorced she had never stopped loving him. They had been forced from eachothers hands, forced to live with the pain of being seperated from the one she loved. All she could do was pray he was safe. That the allies weren't to harsh on him after the war. She knew they were immortal as countries, yet they were not completly indestructable. Gilbert was proof of that. Her shoulders shook with a sudden rise of sobs and she clasped her hand to her mouth so as not to let the sound escape.

Gilbert was gone now and though they had had their differences in the past, she still mourned the loss of the white haired nation. He had been a brother in arms as children, they had taught eachother the sword, she had admired him as a knight and even though they fought...a lot, he had been one of the few she had felt true kinship with beside Feliks and Ludwig. She was now truely alone...

She caught a movement in the corner of her eye and gapped in surprise as she recognized the familiar coat and scarf. He's here already! She wiped the tears that had gathered in her eyes away quickly and lifted the rifle to her vision, a sharp green eye rested on the Russian's back as she slowly lifted herself for a more accurate aim. She peered at the man who had crushed her so many times, so vulnerable now in this position. She had the shot clear as day, her finger hoovered over the trigger, but as she felt the metal under her finger she hesitated. Despite all the hardships and suffering she had been through, she still had honor and was still a very proud woman.

Never....she could never do it in the back.

She released a breath, her gaze narrowed yet her aim held true. "BRAGINSKI!"

Ivan turned swiftly, eyes widening as he stared down the barrel of the rifle aimed at him. She squeezed the trigger but the Russian was already moving as the shot rang out, ducking behind a statue in the court yard. She cursed and reloaded swiftly, aim trained on the statue, seeking anykind of movement that would give off the Russian's position. This was it, the true fight for her freedom, but what was the price she would be willing to pay?

[Russia]

The sounds of artillery were slowly getting closer to the courtyard, but Ivan paid them no attention as he searched for his target. Pipe gripped tightly in his left hand, he was slightly disappointed that she had not been waiting in plain sight for him. It was a silly thing to be annoyed about, since no country in their right mind would just stand around and wait for such a confrontation, but he couldn’t help but wish she had made herself easier to find.

But she was here, somewhere. She had to be. Even as he stalked amongst the chipped statues in the courtyard, the violet-eyed sadist had the distinct feeling that he was being watched. That the overly defiant female nation was so very close.

"BRAGINSKI!"

He whirled around as the voice rang out from somewhere behind him, his eyes instantly focusing on the rifle aimed at him. Not thrilled with the idea of taking a bullet to the face, he did not let his eyes linger on the image. No sooner had he seen the gun than he was instinctively dodging behind a large statue of what appeared to be some Hungarian political leader or some sort. The bullet hit part of the white statue’s arm, sending a few flecks of the surprisingly fragile stoney material onto Ivan as he ducked behind it.

He cursed himself for not being more cautious as he had entered the courtyard in the first place. Truth be told, he was so used to being the hunter that he had forgotten that his target was not as helpless as he would have liked in this case. It was a fact that would make the fight more interesting for sure. He had to wonder at Hungary’s bizarre behavior though. He couldn’t fathom why she would call out and give her location away when she could have easily shot him from behind. Had the situation been reversed, he would never have called out to an enemy like that. Being hidden was advantageous, and the idea that Hungary would purposefully draw his attention to her hiding spot was confusing beyond words. She was either so mistakenly confident in her ability to take him down that she was playing with him, or the loud noises and chaos of the revolt was starting to really mess with her head.

From his safe position behind the statue, the Russian was quick to assess the situation. Two things were immediately clear: One was that Hungary was armed with a rifle, and the other was that he needed to get the gun away from her in order for the real fun to begin. He couldn’t fulfill his desire to beat her into submission with his beloved pipe if she was still armed. That would end disastrously. The problem was, how to get the gun away from her, and avoid being shot in the process. Resting the heavy pipe against the side of the statue, the sadistically playful nation reached into his coat and withdrew his pistol. Cocking the weapon, he decided that a slight distraction of gunfire was in order. Hopefully, this would give him a chance to slip away from the statue and race across to the entrance of the building without being peppered with bullets.

Ivan may have harbored a preference for heavy and blunt physical objects as weapons, but there could be no doubt that he was a very good shot when he did use firearms. He had naturally keen eyesight, and his ability to focus in on moving targets had increased tenfold from the time he had spent sniping Germans amongst the ruins of Stalingrad.

Figuring that his Hungarian foe was watching the statue like a hawk, Ivan prepared to make the shots quick enough to buy him some time to move. Grabbing onto the pipe with his left hand once more, he tensed up, quickly aiming the gun from behind his cover and firing a few rapid shots in Hungary’s direction. He had broken into a full out run before the last shot had even left the gun, charging towards the entrance to the building with a swiftness that seemed almost unfitting for such a large country.

Not wanting to waste even a second of time getting out of the open, Russia slammed his shoulder against the door full force, effectively breaking it open without having to fumble with the doorknob. Once inside the building, he continued his wild run off down one of the halls to his right. He had no idea how to get to Hungary’s exact location from inside the building, but he was certain that steering himself in the general direction that she was in was a good way to start.

The excited Soviet only began to slow his pace when he had made it up to the next level and started to near the area where his Hungarian foe had last been. She could have easily moved her location, and now that he knew she was fully armed and prepared to fire at him, he started to exercise a bit of caution with his steps. Reloading the pistol, he kept it firmly in his hand as he moved close to the wall.

A nearby explosion shook the building, shattering some of the windows in the hall and causing the Russian to stop in his tracks; his ears ringing slightly from the close proximity of the blast. When the ringing noise had started to subside, Ivan suddenly caught the faint echo of footsteps nearby. Deciding this “hide and shoot” game was more fun than he had originally imagined it would be, he opened the door to what appeared to be a spacious library and ducked inside. Leveling his gun back at the open doorframe, he stood besides a bookshelf and waited for what he hoped was Hungary, to walk past.

[Hungary]

Her body tensed as she peered through the sight targeted on the statue. C'mon Braginski you can't stay there forever... She released a shakey breath, sweat dripped from her brow as she waited, unphased by the sound of the artillary as it drew nearer. She was aware how difficult this confrontation would be. She had fought the Russian many times, but she was determined and she wasn't going to back down.

He would have to kill her to stop her.

Her eye narrowed as she caught a faint bit of movement. Her finger brushed the trigger but paused as she realized what was poking out from behind the statue.

SHIT! She swiftly ducked behind the wall as the shots from Ivan's pistol rang out. He was firing blind, it was a Goddamn destraction! She grit her teeth as she swiftly swung back into view, cocking the weapon and taking quick aim at the advancing figure. She fired several shot's but the Russian was booking it swiftly for his giant frame and avoiding each one. Before he hit the entrance she caught the glance of a violet eye that made her blood run cold. The hunt was on.

She cringed and drew back as she heard him crash through the front door. Fuck she had to move NOW! She shouldered her rifle swiftly and drew her own pistol, shoving bullets into the chamber as she burst through the door into the building. She pressed herself against the nearby wall a moment trying to collect her nerves as she slid the gun chamber shut. If she were only a lesser woman she could've taken him out. She hated herself so much now, hated her weakness. War was not a place for compassion and honor would not guarantee you victory.

She pushed herself from the wall and slowly made her way down the halls, poised to shoot should the Russian appear all of a sudden. She paused as she caught the sound of footsteps echoing through the halls. She frowned as realization dawned on her. If she could hear his footsteps than he most certainly could hear hers. She pressed up against the wall once more. Had her position been revealed? Would Ivan be appearing around that corner any minute now? She shuddered as she tried her best to move along the wall and muffle her footsteps. She had to keep moving. Ivan would surely hunt her down if she stayed in one place. The man was relentless when searching for a target....

...but she could be just as relentless.

Her lips pressed into a thin line as she peeked around the corner, pistol at the ready. Luckily the Hall was clear and she slowly stepped into it. Just then an explosion caused her to press against the wall as the building shook in it's wake, sending bits of rubble raining from above. This building wasn't safe,but then again no where was really safe at the moment. Well if the building did end up crumbling down, it would fall on both of them at least. Hungary took a minor comfort in that fact.

She made her way down the hall slowly, listening for the echo of footsteps but save for her own the hall was silent. Had he found her? Her heart quickened at the thought. Or was he hiding, waiting to ambush her when she least expected it?

Where are you you bastard... she muttered to herself as she continued cautiously to a lower floor. Suddenly she caught the sound of footsteps in the distance. She made her way in their direction, her body poised to react should a giant Russian suddenly jump out at her. She reached the door of the library and paused holding back behind the wall out of sight for the moment. If he had gone into this room it was likely he would be watching the door and waiting for her. She strained hard to listen for any noise, any indication of his presence, but the gunfire in the distance made it difficult.

She pressed up once more against the wall and slid towards the door frame, gun raised and ready to fire. Perhaps she could use some of his same tactics. Though fireing blind was a bit dangerous, it would be better than getting picked off right when she came into view. She took a deep breath, preparing herself mentally and tried her best to focus. She swiftly spun, shoving her arm forward and fireing into the doorway, in the glow she caught sight of the Russian, sure enough aiming a gun at the doorway and she swiftly ducked back behind the wall as he returned fire, narrowly missing the bullets.

She quickly reloaded and stood ready at the door should he try to enter the hall after her and strained to listen for any movement beyond the door. She had to think of something or risk becoming a sitting duck.

[Russia]

There was an childlike air of impatience and excitement for the tall blonde as he waited with his gun at the ready. More and more, he was liking this little game even better than he would have liked simply finding Hungary and beating her back into submission quickly. He had no idea where the brunette was at the moment, and that only added to the fun. She could pop into sight at any moment. Or, on a much less fun thought, she could have ran off the opposite direction and escaped into the chaos of the streets by now. But no, he had been so sure that he had heard her footsteps, and that she was not the type to just run away. If she had been the type to run off, she would have done so before he had found her in the courtyard. The fact that she had remained there-seemingly waiting for him to make his appearance-was proof that the feisty brunette must have wanted to face him, just as much as he did her.

No. She doesn’t want to run, she wants to play. The thought sent a shiver of sadistic glee through the Russian nation, amplified by the fact that he knew he was going to win this game. A nation was as strong as their forces were, and his were much more impressive in this case than a comparably small group of Hungarian revolutionists. She could try to shoot at him and try her hardest to force him out of her city, but in the end he was sure that it would be a Soviet victory.

With his faithful pipe in one hand, and his Tokarev pistol in the other, Russia kept his eyes fixed on the mahogany door frame; looking and listening for the slightest bit of movement. Surely she had to pass this way. However, he had to remind himself through his impatience that his foe was not so inexperienced, and would more than likely proceed with caution through the large hallways.

Ivan had not been fully expecting his target to suddenly make an appearance in the doorway with her gun drawn and ready. Apparently he had still somehow underestimated the Hungarian. He attempted to move out of her line of sight as quickly as he could, but not being able to dodge something as fast as a bullets, he still took a shot to the upper left arm. Instantly he returned fire at the door frame, ignoring the stinging from his fresh wound. The bullets from the decently powered handgun splintered through the rich wood, but Hungary had since moved off to the side and out of view again.

Wanting to get out of the line of fire, Ivan dodged behind one of the large bookcases. With five shots at Hungary, he had three bullets left before he needed to re-load again. Luckily he had a few more cartridges of bullets on him, but he was hoping he would be able to disarm Hungary before he had to waste all of them trying to take her down.

“Come now, Elizaveta. You’re just wasting your time and ammo by trying to take me down. We both know how this is going to end anyways. Be a good girl and surrender, and I’ll lessen your punishment somewhat.” The disagreeable female nation would still be punished whether she surrendered or not, but he thought of himself as a kind, reasonable nation, and was willing to lessen it slightly if she cooperated. “The sooner you surrender, the quicker your people will stop their silly revolt I’m sure. Then we can stop killing them and turning your capitol city into a pile of rubble in the process. Sounds good, yes?”

He figured that she wouldn’t surrender right away no matter what he said. She was too proud and too defiant after all. That much he had learned from their last encounters. He preferred it to go this way, being the sadist that he was, but now she couldn’t say that he never offered her a better alternative.

The Russian considered his options. Running out into the hall sounded suicidal with her probably standing just behind the wall. He may have been incredibly naïve and insane, but he was far from being stupid. Yet his tactics were usually very straightforward and brutal, and there did not appear to be another way out of the library. At least, he couldn’t see one from his position.

Deciding that he had made enough foolish mistakes for one fight, Ivan crept along the bookshelf, trying to mute his heavy footsteps as best as he could. If he could get to a different location, he might be able to get a better angle at the door. He paused at the other end of the bookshelf, listening intently for sounds that might indicate that Hungary had either entered the library, or had decided to leave her strategic position and run for it.

Cautiously and with held breath, he peeked around the corner of the bookshelf, scanning the darkened room for the unmistakable shape of the Hungarian. Out of the corner of his eye he thought he saw a slight movement, and without a second of hesitation to consider whether it was Hungary or not, he opened fire in that direction. Aiming in the dark was damn near impossible with his weapon, so simply firing as many shots as he could in the general direction would just have to work. After three shots he quickly pulled back around the bookshelf corner and ducked down, reloading the pistol and setting his pipe against the shelf as he did so.

[Hungary]

Another blast from the outside sent rubble falling from the ceiling and Hungary pressed herself up tight against the wall. The noise outside would definitely make it hard to track the Russian's movements inside the library. The Hungarian cursed under her breath as she frantically tried to come up with a plan of action.

She stiffened as she heard his voice:

“Come now, Elizaveta. You’re just wasting your time and ammo by trying to take me down. We both know how this is going to end anyways. Be a good girl and surrender, and I’ll lessen your punishment somewhat. The sooner you surrender, the quicker your people will stop their silly revolt I’m sure. Then we can stop killing them and turning your capitol city into a pile of rubble in the process. Sounds good, yes?”


"I have a better idea...." she glared at the doorway "Why don't you run back home to your master like a good little dog and oppress your own people before I fill you full of lead." she slowly leans in close to the door and risks a peek beyond the frame. Ivan had moved from his position and swiftly she ducked into the library, seeking cover from the book case Ivan had been poised around. As soon as she drew close to the end of the bookcase more shots rang out. She quickly pressed her body against the end of the bookcase as a sharp pain shot up her leg and a burning sensation circled her waist. She glanced down as she did her best to stifle her grunts of pain. She had taken a bullet to the thigh, a through and through, by the looks of it it had missed the arteries, another bullet had grazed her side, leaving a gash through the torn fabric of her uniform.

She stiffened against the bookcase, pressing her body as close as she could regaining her bearings and taking a few deep breaths. She raised her gun and cautiously peeked around the corner just as another blast from outside shook the building. She used the dust and plaster from the rubble as a distraction as she swiftly rounded the corner and ducked behind another bookcase. As she pressed against the books she did her best to listen for Ivan. She knelt down on her good leg and tore a strip from a table cloth that had overturned near the bookshelf. She quickly tied it around her leg to help stop the bleeding and apply the proper pressure.

She got back to her feet and slowly slid along the bookcase, eyes darting around, seeking any sign of the Russian that would give away his position. As she reached the end of the book case she raised her gun and cautiously peeked around the corner. Though vision was slightly obscured, she could make out a large shape knelt down in the distance. She swiftly reached her free arm behind the shelf wall, pressing her palm against the inner wall of the shelf and shot several rounds in the direction of the shape. Before it could react she pressed her palm against the shelf, using the momentum to send her back swiftly behind cover. Did she hit him?! She had no time to check, she moved swiftly along the self in the opposite direction. She had to keep moving, she couldn't make herself a stationary target. He would end up picking her off and it would all be for naught.

She heard the gunfire and ducked down as shredded papers flew over head from the books whose bindings had been pierced by the bullets. She continues to move for cover as she crouches to avoid the shots. Gritting her teeth in concentration she seeks cover beyond the ends of another bookshelf. Covering her mouth with her free hand to stifle any noise her body would betray.

[Russia]

Hungary’s retort about going back to his “master” and repressing his own people did nothing to dull his spirits or his drive to win. She clearly knew nothing about his people. He had assured himself many times that his Russians were indeed very happy, and did not at all allow their lack of freedom in certain areas to upset them in any way. They didn’t need freedom anyways. All it was good for was creating problems. He was convinced that the moment a leader allowed their people more freedom, they would immediately stir up trouble. With freedom, people would be more inclined to speak out against their superiors and critique their government. Then they would get defiant as well, and then there would be even more problems. As fond as he was of his people, he knew they needed ruled with a stern hand, much like his nation subordinates.

Just look at the mess they were in now; all because a group of Hungarians wanted freedom. The woman was clearly blind if she did not see just how silly it was to want free from his iron grip. She was taken care of when she was under his rule. She didn’t need to worry her pretty head about anything because Ivan and his leader took care of everything. In his opinion, there was no better place to be than under his influence.

Crouching down low as he re-loaded, he was not sure if he had actually hit the Hungarian. The sound of the gunfire had gotten in the way of his hearing any quiet noises of pain she may have made. She seemed to him to be the type to try and muffle such sounds too, and sad to say, he did not happen to have the ears of a fox. The building shook as another blast hit somewhere nearby, and a thin dusting of plaster from the ceiling lightly coated Ivan as he strained to see around the corner of the bookcase and through the particles of falling debris. Violet eyes scanning the darkened room, he searched for any glimpses of movement. Rising to his full height, he slipped around to the other side of the bookshelf.

Holding his breath and freezing near the end of the shelf, he listened intently. The room itself was silent, but the sound of shooting could be heard from outside. Kneeling down again he readied his pistol and peeked around the corner of the shelf. His smile faltered as no moving feminine shape awaited around the corner. Instead there was an eruption of gunfire from a direction he had not been looking, and the Russian was left stumbling to get out of the way as swiftly as he could. He had not been quick enough to avoid all injury, and one of the sneaky Hungarian's shots caught him square in the shoulder. The impact of the bullet splintering part of his shoulder blade was excruciating, but Russia was rather seasoned when it came to taking injuries in stride and only the softest huff of pain left his lips. He was a proud and powerful nation, and it would take far more than bullets to get him to cry out.

The surprise outburst of gunfire had not only pissed him off, but it had also given him a direction to focus on. As sneaky as Hungary had been before, she had given herself away. Aiming his pistol he opened fire on the bookshelf that she must have been behind, moving closer as he did so. Reloading quickly, the rather brawny nation shoved against the shelf full force, sending it toppling into its neighboring shelf. With any luck, Elizaveta would be trapped under by the chain reaction of crashing bookshelves.

There were books all over the place now and stepping on, over and around them as he made his way along the toppled shelves was a chore. The bullet in his shoulder completely eclipsed his previous gunshot wound as far as pain went, and he made a mental note to punish the naughty Hungarian extra for it when he had disarmed her. It was just a shame he didn’t carry his bullwhip with him on these sorts of missions. It certainly would have come in handy at a time like this. He had been known to give Toris twenty lashes for things as mild as breaking an expensive dish, so fifty lashes or more would have sounded fair to him for Hungary.

“I was going to go easier on you, but since you insist on being such a bad girl, I look forward to hearing you scream.” Gun still gripped tightly in his hand, he approached the end of the toppled shelves cautiously. Once he had her disarmed, then he would be able to put his gun away and move on to the more fun and interesting forms of punishment.

[Hungary]

Very soon after Hungary took cover at the end of the book shelf the big bad giant Russian shoved his body into them, sending them crashing down in a sort of domino effect, she scuttled back against the wall, pressing into shadow as shelves, books and papers fell before her with a loud series of thuds, causing her to jump in alarm. She quickly scrambled along the wall looking for a hiding place as the Russian began to move among the mess of files and literature.

“I was going to go easier on you, but since you insist on being such a bad girl, I look forward to hearing you scream.”

Her eyes widened as she heard the familiar click of a cocked barrel. She sprung forward as the shots rang out on her heels. She fell to her side and slid along the floor behind a table turned on it's side, she pressed against it breathing heavily checking herself but luckily finding no extra wounds on her body. She quickly glanced around to try to see if she could move to better cover, but now that the shelves were upturned she would have to find a way to the other side of the room. She checked the bullets in her gun. She would have to expose herself if she made a break for it. A sweat touched her brow, either way was dangerous. But she had a better chance if she kept moving.

She cocked the barrel and immediately heard his in response. Her heart lept in her throat as she forced her legs to move. Bullets splintered the wood beside her as she made a break for it, shoving her arm out to the side and returning fire as she booked it towards the shelves on the opposite side of the room. A sharp jab traveled from her arm to elbow as she felt the bullet pierce her flesh. She gasped in pain as her arm dropped, but she grasped onto her gun for dear life as she ducked behind a new set of shelves. She pressed herself against the new hiding spot, gritting her teeth to muffle the pained breathing. She slid along the shelf, unknowingly leaving a smeared blood trail along the books. She gripped her arm as she moved towards the opposite wall. When she got to the wall she used the shelf end for cover and leaned against it. She tucked her pistol in her belt and quickly unshouldered her rifle. She loaded it, trying her best not to cry out in pain as she loaded and cocked it. She quickly tore off a strip of her torn uniform at her side, revealing a patch of creamy skin tainted with the blood from the graze earlier, and tied it tightly over her wounded arm, pulling the knot taut with her teeth; also using it to muffle her faint noises of pain and labored gasps.

She lifted the rifle, bracing against the wall and taking aim in the last known direction. If the Russian attempted to come close again, she would be ready for him.

[Russia]

Cocking his trusty black Tokarev, Russia opened fire at the fleeting shape that suddenly moved in front of him, heading towards the other side of the room. His Hungarian foe ducked out of his sight en route, and Ivan used the moment to quickly re-load the gun again. He didn’t seem to have hit her this time around, and he silently cursed the young woman’s swiftness and agility.

He had at least enough ammo to outlast her if he played his cards right, and if he could get her to waste her shots it would be even more in his favor. He was not loaded to the teeth with extra cartridges, but he had roughly five more of them loaded in the pockets of his long Red Army overcoat. Kicking a few books out of his way, the bloodthirsty blonde approached the table Elizaveta had ducked behind. Eager to flush her out, he opened fire at the overturned table, slightly surprised when Hungary suddenly burst out from behind it firing her own gun as she ran.

Ivan could have swore that he heard an unmistakable gasp of pain form his female enemy. A stinging sensation in his side stopped him from gloating however, and his hand instinctively went to the injury as he staggered back a few steps. His hand came away stained with crimson and he grimaced slightly. Luckily, the bullet had gotten him in a non-fatal area. Fighting in such close quarters was dangerous business, no matter how much weaker he viewed his opponent. Bullets were equally as painful, no matter who was firing them.

Hungary had managed to get out of sight once more, but Ivan figured that she must have been somewhere behind the undamaged set of bookshelves. There were not many places to hide in the library, other than the bookshelves and small pieces of damaged furniture. Using the fact that the Hungarian was probably trying to recuperate, Russia removed his coat and set is on the table he had previously fired upon. Quickly, he pulled his scarf free from his throat and tied it tightly around his abs, covering the small bullet wound on his side. That should at least slow the bleeding down a considerable amount. Being a powerful nation, he was more resilient to such injuries than he might have otherwise been, but losing a lot of blood was never a good thing; even for one of their kind. And he didn’t want to be feeling too weak from blood loss to actually have fun with the disobedient Hungarian.

Pulling his coat back on and holding his gun in his right hand once more, the sadistic Soviet started towards the standing bookshelves. “Such a disagreeable nation.” He remarked calmly, managing to keep his voice steady in spite of the wounds he had received since their little game started. “And you wonder why we’re killing your people in mass. You just refuse to accept the fact that you’ll never be free from me. Your disobedience is costing you so many of your people’s lives.”

Gun at the ready, he made his way along the side of one of the bookshelves that was the farthest from the door. She could be hidden within the rows of books themselves, or off behind them and just out of sight for all he knew. Carefully- and listening closely for any sound that would give his opponent away- he approached the end of the shelf. Stepping out from behind the wooden structure, he noticed the injured brunette with her rifle aimed a fraction of a second too late to take her down before she got the first shot.

[Hungary]

“Such a disagreeable nation. And you wonder why we’re killing your people in mass. You just refuse to accept the fact that you’ll never be free from me. Your disobedience is costing you so many of your people’s lives.”

Hungary's eyes narrowed as she focused the sight in the direction the voice flooded from, trying her best to stifle her pained gasps. She had to focus, Ivan was one of the strongest opponents she had ever faced, she understood it would take a LOT to take him down. If it were even possible...No...she had to believe she could succeed. To lose her faith now would surely be defeat.

Sure enough the Russian loomed into view, his violet gaze locked on her green for brief moments, registering what imminent danger he was in. "Die komcsi fattyú" (Hungarian: Die Commie Bastard) She squeezed the trigger but to her horror the rifle jammed. Her jaw dropped as her eyes locked once more on the Russian. A chilling smile played upon his lips as he began to advance on her once more.

MOVE!

She bolted, pushing herself from the wall she broke into a run, making a go for the next row of shelves, ignoring the waves of pain that shot through her body, energy fueled by pure desperation and survival. She heard the click of his gun and swiftly ducked between one of the rows, no shots came, but of course why would he waste the bullets? She quickly pulled out her pistol and reloaded the last of her bullets. Each shot had to count after this. She could no longer afford fire blind or distract him. She unclasped the holster of her combat knife in case she had to take to close combat. It was much different than her days with sword and shield, but she had never forgotten her many years of bullying and fighting in her youth.

She braced herself against the shelf, sliding back but gun at the ready for when he would turn the corner. She held her free hand over her mouth to stifle her pained gasps, she had to be as quiet as possible. Surely the gunfire outside helped cover some of the noise, but she couldn't risk it. She had to take everything as a possible threat. She couldn't afford to let her guard down at all or she would likely end up dead. She drew close to the opposite end of the shelf, but paused a moment, not sure which way the Russian would come from, she was open on either side and had to pay attention to both ends, she turned her body flat against the shelf, glancing from one end to the other.

Which way dammit....which way?

She drew closer to the opposite end of where she entered, swallowing hard as she tried her best to focus in case the Russian tried to get the drop on her.

[Russia]

"Die komcsi fattyú".

Instinctively Ivan flinched as the Hungarian pulled the trigger, his eyes closing momentarily as he readied himself for any pain that would come about from his being slower on the draw. Nothing happened. No sound of gunshot and no pain. His eyes shot open and he studied his target once more, a wolfish smile playing across his pale features. If he had not been weaned away from his former religious beliefs, he would have surely thought the Lord must have been smiling on him, for Hungary’s gun to jam up right at a crucial moment like that. Pleased at the turn of events, and not at all upset over the Hungarian’s words - which sounded suspiciously malevolent in nature without him understanding them- the Russian started forward again.

Elizaveta seemed to understand her plight, because she was quick to flee once she realized her gun had not worked. Watching her run, Ivan cocked his pistol, but decided against firing after her. He was confident in his ability to take her down without it now. Why waste the bullets? He wouldn’t allow her time to fix her rifle, and the other gun she had was smaller and would be easy enough to pry out of her hands. Besides, she couldn’t have too many bullets left in it. Not after all the shots that had been fired. Unless she was keeping a stash of bullets hidden in her outfit somewhere.

As Elizaveta dashed out of sight behind the adjacent shelf, Ivan considered how he wanted to go about capturing the other nation. He listened intently, trying to hear anything from the woman that might give her position behind the shelf away. Unable to hear over the artillery shots outside and his own heavy breathing, he decided to risk sneaking up on her from the opposite side of the bookshelf that she had ran behind. It made sense that she would try to get as far away from him as possible, given her situation, so it was probably a safe bet that she had moved to the other side of the bookshelf.

The large, rather smug Russian backtracked, heading towards the opposite end of the shelf that he was certain his female conquest hid behind. The plan was to take her by surprise if at all possible and pry her weapons away from her before she could get in anymore shots. Then as far as he was concerned, she would be at his mercy, since he viewed himself as far superior in physical strength. The throbbing in his side had lessened some, and he unwound his now bloodied scarf, wrapping it back around his throat. He never felt right up close and personal with an enemy with his throat exposed. Even though he was certain that Hungary wouldn’t be able to do anything to him, he still had the subconscious urge to attempt and guard his neck. Ever since his sister had given him the scarf, he had not felt right fighting without it in its rightful place. Shooting with it off was fine, but not fighting within arm's length of a foe.

Creeping up dangerously close to the end of the bookshelf, he gathered his strength, preparing to lunge around the corner and hope that his suspicions that she would be at that end would prove correct. Ignoring the painful throbbing in his shoulder that cautioned him against such a bold move, Ivan sprung into action. Moving around the corner quickly, he was pleased to see that he had been right, Hungary had managed to slink as far away from his previous position as possible whilst remaining behind the safety of the shelf. His eyes instantly searched for the hand that held her weapon. Catching sight of the flash of metal, his own hand shot out, grabbing onto her slender wrist and attempting to twist it violently at an angle to force her to release the gun. Once he could get rid of that problem, the rest of the fight was sure to go in his favor. Or so he assumed.

[Hungary]

Hot. It was so very hot. Her uniform seemed to cling to her frame like a second skin, sweat beaded and trickled down the side of her face. What was this feeling. Nervousness? Fear? Determination? She just didn't know anymore. She strained to hear any indication of an advancing Russian but the sound of gunfire blocked out any kind of clue that would alert her to his presence. She held her pistol at the ready, pressing back against the bookcase, praying the gunfire was also masking her pained breaths.

Where is he...where is he...where is HE?!

Suddenly to her surprise he rounded the corner, advancing on her quite swiftly for his giant frame. A gasp broke her lips, her green eyes widened in surprise as she spun her body. She tried to aim her weapon but Ivan snatched her wrist into his hand and twisted her arm before she could react. She cried out as pain shot up her arm and her grip on the gun loosened, the metal piece clattered to the floor. She managed an icy glare at her adversary as he held her arm in check, disgusted by the smirk that touched his lips, disturbed by the glint in his violet eye.

Not willing to remain in this monster's grasp, she struck up with her free hand, aiming a strike to his throat. Though cushioned by the scarf, the hit struck close to his Adam's apple, causing his grip on her too loosen as he gasped, the air pushed briefly from his throat. She swung her leg up, digging the boot into his stomach, pushing her body away from him and free of his hold. He glowered at her as she regained her footing. Once he caught his breath he was moving on her again. She tried to draw her knife, but he was too quick and swung at her with his lead pipe. She gasped in shock as it came into threat range and she stumbled back, barely dodging the offending metal object. She kicked up with her leg, aiming for his side, but he caught it in his free hand. She grunted and shifted to free herself, but in a feat of strength, the Russian's hand slid to grasp her ankle and swung his body throwing her back against the wall with a loud thud.

She gasped as air was knocked from her lungs, a harsh pain encircled her ribs as she slid to the floor. Her vision blurred briefly. Did she just crack a rib? God it sure felt like it, but even so she couldn't stop, she had to get up, the thought only intensified as the Russian began to advance on her once more. She scrambled for the object that had fallen at her side as Ivan drew closer, when he got in range he swung at her with the pipe, however her fingers grasped the rifle that had fallen at her side and she raised it high, catching the pipe on it's surface and barring him from striking her.

She breathed as she held him in check, pressing up against the pipe, slowly forcing her legs to move to bring her to a standing position. She knew she couldn't win by strength alone, not against him. But she still had a lot of fight in her and Hungarians had always been just too damn stubborn.

She had to think of something fast or she would soon be overwhelmed. She attempts to knock the pipe out of his hands with a swing of the rifle it's locked with.

OOC: FINALLY sorry for the delay. To be honest I had a bit of writers block and trouble with this as I didn't want to get out of hand moving Ivan. Though you gave me a little freedom with him it still feels a bit awkward and I worry I'm gunna do something with him you wouldn't like.

As he applied pressure to her wrist, she released the handgun and it fell to the floor with a metallic clatter. Quickly, Ivan kicked it aside as far as he could with his boot. She wouldn’t be needing that. Now to focus on getting the rifle free and riding her of any other weapons she might possess. She wore a military uniform, and most armies equipped their soldier with knives of some sort in case they lost their main firearms. He assumed Hungary’s army of rebels was no different.

Though he held her right wrist firmly in place, the Hungarian lashed out suddenly with her free hand before Ivan could get a hold of it. He gasped slightly as a dull pain stung his throat from her blow. His grip slackened as he recovered, and he realized too late what she was preparing to do. Her foot connected with his stomach too quickly, and she was pushing herself away from him before he had a chance to retaliate.

His throat still throbbing from her hit, Ivan caught his breathe quickly and lunged forward towards the brunette, attempting to strike her with his trusty black Tokarev. She was quicker than he would have liked, and he was certain that he would need to break one of her pretty legs to slow her down a bit. Hopefully he would be able to find his pipe again amongst the clutter where he had left it, and break both her legs. Or, if he could simply capture her, he had the fun option of using something more symbolic like a sledgehammer to break her legs as punishment for her rebellion. Enticing images of cutting her flesh with a sickle and breaking her bones with the hammer rushed through his mind, even as his hand caught a hold of her foot mid-air. Using his strength and ignoring the stinging complaint from his injured shoulder, Russia swung the smaller woman by the ankle, tossing her towards the wall closest to the door they had came in at.

A glint of familiar metal caught the sadistic Russian’s eyes as he approached his slumped target. His faucet pipe! He had lost sight of it before, having rested it against the shelf near the beginning of the fight so that he could shoot at Hungary. But now that the first row of shelves had been toppled, it’s metallic surface was visible poking out from partially under one of the fallen bookshelves. An inappropriate flush of happiness overtook the insane nation as he finally reached down and re-united his left hand with the cold metal. Putting the pistol back in it’s holster on the inside of his coat, Ivan turned his full attention back to Hungary-charging towards her even as she scrambled for her fallen rifle. There was a clash as she blocked his swing with the gun, and Ivan instantly started pushing down against the weapon forcefully.

Both of his hands locked on his pipe, stopping him from losing grip as Hungary tried to swing her rifle around to dislodge his weapon. “You silly girl. Trying to fight against your master.” He laughed softly as he pushed down against her with more and more strength, trying to shove her own weapon closer and closer to her chest.

“You know what we’re going to do to your boss don’t you? For this little uprising?” he was trying to provoke her into blind rage, a tactic that usually worked on him as well ironically.

He needed to change tactics to something less strenuous to keep up. He wanted some energy left to punish the naughty Hungarian, and by consistently pouring his strength into pushing her weapon down, he wasn’t going to get that. Suddenly, Ivan pulled back, allowing her rifle to fly upwards from lack of pressure bearing down on it anymore. He swung once more with the blunt pipe, trying to catch her rifle and knock if out of her hands all the way with the move. If he could get her completely disarmed, things would be much more fun. He loved to play, but not when the objects of his punishment were armed and able to put up a fight.

[Hungary]

“You silly girl. Trying to fight against your master.”

Hungary glared at her Master with pure ferocity as he laughed at her. A curse upon her breath as she struggled to hold him in check. Her breath came out in a sharp hiss between clenched teeth, eleven years spent healing and recovering her strength. Biding her time for the right moment to strike, to rise up, to once more claim the freedom she craved, the craving that came from the heart of her people under the Soviet's hold. However, she was wounded and bruised, strength fading fast and locked with a nation that far outmatched her in power alone. Her belief in her success began to fade fast.

“You know what we’re going to do to your boss don’t you? For this little uprising?”

Her eyes widened slightly in surprise at the mention of her boss. Imre Nagy. The ray of hope at the bottom of Pandora's Box. His words and determination had inspired the hearts of many Hungarians. Rouse them to new heights. Gave them the will to fight by following the example portrayed by their Polish brothers. Imre, who began to pick up the pieces left behind by the Soviets, striving to make Hungary free again. He was bold in declaring neutrality and withdrawing from the Warsaw Pact. But it had been his undoing. And now he was their prisoner. Lured to the promise of peace and freedom from those conniving Soviets. Diplomacy had failed for Hungary and it was left to the soldiers to keep fighting for their freedom....alone. The UN were not coming. They were left to fight, left to die.

With a cry of frustration, Hungary jammed her rifle into the Russian's pipe, pushing herself up to a more standing position "A greater man than any Russian could ever hope to be." she hissed at him, her green eyes bore into him, hot like acid. "Will die a hero and a legend."

Suddenly Ivan reared back sending her arms flying into the air aiming another swing with the pipe at her hands and rifle. Hungary cried out sharply in pain as the metal connected, crushing several of the fingers on her right hand and sending the rifle flying from her hands and smashing into a pile of rubble to her left. She gasped and slunk back as the Russian wasted no time on advancing on her again. Shock turned to anger once more and with a cry of fury, ignoring the pain in her right hand, Hungary aimed a swift punch to Ivan's jaw.

The Russian stumbled back with a grunt but before he could recover the Hungarian struck again aiming an uppercut under his chin and swinging her good leg into a swift kick to his side. Ivan quickly grabbed for her leg and managed to shrug off the blow as he took hold her. He swung at her with the pipe but before the offending object could strike, she twisted her body to release herself from his grip and somersaulted away from his giant frame, grunting as pain shot through her limps like hot fire. She swiftly drew her knife and ran atop a pile of rubble, taking a giant leap at Ivan, brandishing her combat knife ready to stab whatever bit of him came into range first.

She saw the violet eyes widen in mild surprise as she neared him, his arms rising up defensively as she used the momentum to descend upon him swiftly. However, Ivan shot his arm out in an upward motion and knocked her lower arm as she struck, turning the strike to a less damaging slash than a stab, the blade leaving a large cut across the length of his thick jacket, luckily it was just a graze as the jacket posed as a good form of protection.

Hungary wasted no time in stabbing at him again, but Russia deflected the attack with the pipe. He quickly countered with a swing of his own but Hungary managed to block his swing with the knife with a large CLANG.

Hungary fell back and quickly moved behind the pile of rubble, putting some distance between her and the Russian to regain her bearings. She looked around frantically for anything she could use . She reached down and grabbed a metal pole from the rubble, not as big as Ivan's pipe, but it was still some form of defense.

The Russian was advancing again and Elizaveta moved to the right, putting more distance in between them. However, Ivan suddenly advanced on her swiftly swinging his pipe at her once more, Hungary deflected the swing with the metal rod.

Years of training with Gilbert and warfare had paid off as she was quite skilled with swordsmanship and she pictured the pole as a sword, moving around Ivan with the finesse and precision of sword play she soon took the offensive, taking quick yet hard swings at his giant frame. After a dance of blocking and dodging, the two countries managed to lock their weapons and once again slid into a standoff.

Hungary pressed her body into their lock of weapons and manage to swing the pipe free from his grasp, much to his surprise and swiftly took a swing. Ivan swiftly grabbed her wrist and crushed it causing her to wince in pain and drop the pole, she then stabbed at him with her knife but he grabbed her other wrist and crushed it too. The knife clattered to the floor at their feet.

Hungary aimed a kick at Ivan's shin, causing his grip to loosen and she pulled her hands free. Then in a cry of fury she rams her shoulder into his gut as hard as she could possibly manage in this state and the pair fell to the floor. Ivan felt the air leave his lungs and he coughed as Hungary winced from the sharp pain in her ribcage. As Ivan tried to recover Elizaveta took this chance to scramble on top of him and press her knees to his shoulders, ignoring the pain from her wounded leg in her rage and desperation. She grabbed each end of his bloodied scarf and wrapped it around her palms, pulling the fabric taut and attempting to strangle him with it, "We're going to Hell together IVAN!" she growled at him as she pulled it tighter. Determined to watch the life fade from his violet eyes. All of the rage towards this man poured into her limbs granting her new found strength to take down her adversary and such was her fiery determination to do so.
