Just out of curiosity, when do you guys write usually write the best? Morning, mid-day or evening?
For me, I find that I usually can't write later in the day. I have to write on my posts when I first get up, or they never get done. I try to write past 3PM or so and the words just fail me. XD Is anyone else like this?

I tend to do mine just after I wake up [at least during the summer and on days when I have nothing to do but laze around] or late at night [after midnight, usually]. I normally can't write at all from about 2 PM until maybe 10 PM at the earliest.
When I write in the morning, I can't write with music playing in the background. I'm not sure why, but it messes me up. At night, however, I almost need the white noise to write. I also tend to find that my posts written in the morning are longer but that my posts written at night are of higher quality [more vocabulary rich, the plot moves along more smoothly, less grammatical error, etc.], so I suppose both have their advantages.

During the school year I do most of my writing between 9pm and 11pm.
But in the summer that's when I have 3-4 tabs open with cboxes popping in all of them, so it's impossible to concentrate. So in the summer I do most of my writing around 2pm to 4pm since that's when the internet seems to be quietest.
And I also can't have any music playing when I write, unless it's wordless music. And even then, sometimes I can't concentrate with it on. I usually need total silence. xD

I can pretty much write whatever time of day I'm on, as long as I have muse. Which is pretty often because my muse refuses to shut her damn pie hole. >.<
And I'm a total music addict! I can't stand silence or regular talking in the background: I have to have music around me as much as possible. The only trick for when I write is that I have to have music that's appropriate to what I'm writing: light, happy music when I'm trying to write something dark and sad is no good, and visa versa~
My only real limitation is whether or not I'm totally exhausted, because then I can't do anything coherent. I don't really know if my posts are better at a certain time of day, either.

I always do my best writing in the evening and at night. I don't know why — I've always been that way. If I try to write anything before about 6PM, it usually doesn't turn out as well as if I wait until at least 6 or better. Normally I don't even start working on posts until about 7PM most days. The few times I've tried to write RIGHT after I got up didn't end well. Your average 5th grader could do better. >>
Like North Korea, I can't listen to music when I'm writing: I tried that once and ended up writing song lyrics instead. xD Also, like NK, I can *sometimes* write with wordless music on, but usually not. I generally need dead silence, though having a fan or the air-conditioner on in the background doesn't bother me in the least.

North Korea.... I seriously admire your multi-tasking ability with having several cboxs open at once. I've also always admired your ability to be on several boards at once though, so that's probably not a surprise to hear from me. XD
And America, too much muse is never a bad thing. ~ At least you never run out, right?

I tend to do my writing late in the afternoon or real late at night. I'm a night owl, you see. I often listen to music while I type. I don't really hear the music, it's just in the background, but it makes me comfortable. I've also got a writing trick I've recently developed to cure writers block. I close my eyes and begin to type whatever pops into my head. 9/10, it's pretty good stuff.
