So yeah. 'Sup. I'm really bad with introductions and I've already talked to most of you in the cbox, but I'd feel weird if I skipped out on the introductions.
You can call me Poland or Feliks or any diminutive you'd like. My real name is Brooke and it reminds me of a rock, so I'd prefer being called Poland/Feliks/whatsoeveryoudeemappropriate. I tend to call everyone by their nation name or an affectionate shortening of it, so please tell me if you don't want me to call you by your character's name!
I live in California, I turned 18 in August, and I've been roleplaying since I was twelve. I tend to be happy and immature and conflict-avoiding all the time, but I'm also a huge, annoying American patriot type. The kind that randomly gets into fights with Canadians in the youtube comments and has witty comebacks such as "OH YEAH WELL I'M AMERICAN AND LOOKATME DRINKING MY LOVELY GLASS OF FRESH-SQUEEZED LIBERTY." and such and such. Don't worry, I'm less obnoxious now, promise.
I love Polish/Russian/German history for some reason, and Poland is my most favorite character to play because I relate to his failings and admire his ability to kick hardship in the face and run off giggling like a schoolgirl. We also share an accent-- I mean, the irritating 'like, totally, etc' accent I can't seem to shake for some reason. It shows up even when I'm typing sometimes, which makes it a pain to delete when I'm playing other characters. I got into Hetalia in like... early 2009, and I've been incredibly obsessed since, sniggering over tomatoes and whatnot.
In two weeks or so I think I'm also going to go out for Vietnam, who I also love playing. Here's the thing though, if I ever end up dramatizing in a way that seems like I'm victimizing Poland somehow, please point it out to me. That's my pet peeve, and I tend to do it myself. I don't like to paint Feliks as the weak, fragile victim so... /takes this srsly
My MSN is decidedlydespicable@hotmail.com. I love talking to people on it, so I really would not mind it if you'd like to friend me there.
