I'm a newcomer here, and I look forward to roleplaying with all of you. ;D My name is Feodora, and I live in a decidedly Eastern time zone - could be coincidence that puts it a little ahead of India's? xD Most of my relations are Indian, and I've been to India several times, so you could say I cheated with the 'Personality' bit. Though I must admit I didn't know before that my character predated China... that's a bit scary. (India won't be a true OC for long, by the way. Himaruya has mentioned her, and how interesting Indian people are. While he is correct...) ... That aside, about me! I am a history and culture nerd, and I like spending my time in dark, cold rooms hunched over my laptop. This is only really possible during a Dubai winter, one which Goldilocks would've approved of. Just cold enough. ^u^ I am mildly multilingual. Besides American, British and Indian English (the most informal language on the surface of the earth. Serious), I know some Hindi, Malayalam (another Indian language), Arabic and smidges of French, Italian and German. I'm also learning Russian. Learning languages is fu~n. I like drawing and writing, and I can roleplay anything. Though I prefer post-apocalypse AUs, horror, dark historical and Freaky Fairground. Particularly the last one. Again, hope to see you all around! I ghosted 'round this place for a bit before joining, and I can see this is going to be fun.

Hey, welcome!
Yay for mildly-multilingual-ness. I know bits and pieces of a bunch of languages. I'd rather be fluent even if it means I only know a couple, but that's the way it is for now. I'm pretty new too, I've been here about a month, but everyone makes you feel at home very quickly. /o/

Welcome to the board, Feodora. ~ I have never seen an India player before, so I was excited to see one join.
Hunched over a laptop in a cold, dark room huh? Sounds fun to me. ^^ I know if I was given a choice I would rather be spending my time like that.
And it's always lovely to see more multilingual people. That's quite a collection of different languages there too. Hindi and Malayalam in particular sound hard to learn. I am thinking there aren't that many places that teach either of those here...
If you ever need help learning Russian, I love the chance to practice it with people. So I am always here to offer help. Other than that, I know a bit of French, but really only enough to read with, My spelling is awful and my pronunciation is even worse I think.

Languages. How do you keep them all current and straight in your head? They drive me mad.
Welcome to the board, anyhow! I met you this morning, but I’m sure we’ll be seeing a whole lot more of each other with our history. I’ve only been to Dubai once, as a stop-over between flights. I was extremely tired and remember almost nothing except the stars we went out to see were fantastic and I rolled down a dune. …itmightnothavebeenintentional.
If you ever feel I'm ribbing you about the cricket too hard, feel free to go right ahead and rip the piss out of me. XD Spain rubs my nose in our football fail allllll the time, so you'll be in good company. Hope you enjoy it here!

Hey, welcome aboard, it's nice to see an India around. I've seen people talk about rping India, but the first time I've seen an actual legit one. So, nie to meet you! I know a few languages myself, so we'll have to compare notes or something. Granted, I do want to know, what's Malayalam like? The only Indians I have met during my life time were Punjab or Gujarati... and well, I have been to a few Indian weddings, of which, man, they sure knew how to party. And make great food.
...... I see talk about rubbing things in England's face, dude, we can form a club and make really cool looking shirts~

Hello honey! I'm totally excited. As you can see, I play Iran and I'm just... super happy to see you. I can't wait to play with you, even though I've kind of... disappeared lately. But My gosh there is so much FUN to be had!

Aha~ @iceland: So fluency is what you aim for. You should hear me speak at home, it's a mishmash of Malayalam (native tongue), English (as good as native tongue) with a little Japanese and Russian thrown in at times. My family's more or less used to it. xD France: Allo to you, too! Hindi and Malayalam don't have many learning sites, true. I know them as more-or-less native languages. :3 Oh, and thanks for the offer - I will, when I can. And I've tried learning French, too, but realized I should never look at the word while learning its pronunciation. Well, not in the beginning, at least. @england: Languages? Oh, they're just fun. I don't really know how I manage to keep the words in my head either. (It just struck me - I suppose England might have asked India this question, too. Over eight hundred languages are spoken there - twenty-something official. Every state has its own language. Mine does.) ^^' Sure, and I look forward to RPing with you. (I met you at night. It was night here. I know it. :/ I hate time zones. If and when I log in after breakfast, everybody's wishing each other goodnight.) You must have visited Dubai quite a while back. Now, thanks to the light pollution, there are no stars that shine through except a couple if you squint, and all the dunes have been fixed down with processed sewage and turned into little gardens. It's sad, but I don't really mind. It's sort of my fatherland, and to see so much effort put in to make an actual desert green is nice. The place sprang up in forty years from bare sand and a bunch of huts. So it is pretty cool. (Pun unintended.) ;D Cricket? Nah. I don't watch TV nowadays, as I inadvertently go "India, why you no play properly?" whenever the ticker tape with the cricket scores rolls under whatever they're showing. But if and when they get better... @spain: Ooh, who's been talking about me? And it's nice to meet you too. Malayalam has roots in Sanskrit, they just don't use the script. I recently had to learn a poem where they had mostly Sanskrit-derived words, and the poem was in reality some couple thousand years old. My brain froze after the first two lines, but then again I'm not the best at the subject. Ah, North Indian weddings. xD Love them. But I tend to stay away because any auntie-ji (most of mine are Indian, yes) who sees me during lunch will feed me more helpings than I could've had in a week because I was so-and-so's daughter, remember how she did something-or-other - it probably doesn't help that I'm agoraphobic, either. ;D It's waning but I don't like testing it. Yes, I like the shirt idea. Just wait for India's cricket team to get back on their feet. This is pathetic. Iran: HI! I'm totally loving your 'hi' right now. ;D And though I've only been here a couple of days I know I'm going to have some fun. (You are now India's best friend. I think.) ... Well, this is great. Best RP welcome so far.
