(((My Reflection)))
Nation: Iran
Name: Amira Tehrani
Gender: Female
Appearance Age: Twenty
Hair Color: Dark Brown
Eye Color: Dark Brown
Height: 5’ 2”
Weight: 120 pounds
Appearance: Iran stands at just under average height for her country’s woman, putting her on the slightly shorter side, especially when compared to the taller male countries. She has an olive skin tone, but is fairly pale because of how she dresses. Her traditional Islamic abaya tends to be a dark navy blue or black, with a matching headscarf, and sometimes gloves, though she leaves her face clear. Iran’s hair, though most of the time covered up, is usually pulled back into a low braid beneath her head scarf. When she lets it down, on the rare occasions that she does, it falls to about mid-chest. Sometimes, countries will not allow her to dress in her traditional outfit, so Iran will usually go with her camouflage military uniform, or, if that is inappropriate for the occasion, she will wear an olive green dress that she feels covers enough. Unless Iran is in her military uniform, in which she wears her combat boots, the nation will wear sandals.
(((Know Thyself )))
Personality: Iran is a stubborn old woman in a young nation's body. She always wants to be a world power, trying again and again to get to the top and never giving up, no matter how many times she is beaten down. Obviously, she is highly determined, but doesn't learn from her mistakes the first time, and it usually takes until the second or third time until she learns not to do something. She always second-guesses her most important decisions, and will stay up late at night tossing and turning about them. The nation is quite content being alone, with only a few friends, if they could be called that. Most of the friends that she has had have passed away, as she is one of the few remaining ancient nations.
Though quite a bit power hungry, Iran is also content to just sit back at times and enjoy life going by, usually when her plans have come to fruition, or when she is at the bottom, so she'll wait a couple decades and then rise back up. She is always very polite when she talks, regardless of what is being said, and it is quite difficult to tease her. The nation is always very serious when it comes to business matters, but if it is a nation she feels comfortable with, one of those that she may like, she may cuddle up to them, or if she doesn’t feel as if they would attempt to harm her, sit on their lap.
When she gets very mad about something, usually about someone insulting her looks in some way (because that’s way below the belt), or about disrespecting the dead nations, Iran looses whatever Muslim propriety that she had picked up, and return in attitude to the time when she was Persia, trying again and again to become the biggest empire and attacking many other countries. Once she gets calmed down, however, she becomes a bit ashamed of what she has done. Iran often finds the antics of the other nations, especially when they think they are so very wise, amusing. She thinks it is funny that they think themselves so wise and old, when she, being one of the oldest nations still around, only considers China, Pakistan, and Turkey her age peers, though the latter not as much.
If reminded about her old days, Iran can get quite nostalgic, reminiscing about Assyria and Babylon, or when she was at the top of her power, or simply remembering the parents of the current nations, like Britannia or Rome. She, for all her wisdom, is quite a bit ignorant on the ways of love, considering that she has only had one-sided crushes with the ancient nations, and the Islamic law is very firm on the boundaries of personal affection, though she tends to disregard those with her few friends. Also, if Iran was once friends with a nation, and only recently began to go against them, such as Israel, she will still care for them, albeit she doesn’t exactly tell them. Not the best social person, either, Iran will end up insulting or offending someone by the end of the conversation, whether intentionally or not.

☣Losing to America
☣Betrayal
☣That Assyria would be disappointed in her
Secrets:
♦She has had a crush on every single one of her friends at one point or another, but never knows how to act on it.
♦Iran thinks of Assyria, and some of the other Ancients, as her family.
♦She hates her name change and wishes she were called Persia again.
♦Sometimes, she doesn't think it's worth the effort to "be an ass", but does it anyway.
♦She adores rabbits, kittens, and snakes, though she doesn't try to keep the last a secret.
♦Occasionally, Iran will cry herself to sleep.
♦If she doesn't get a nightmare at least twice a week, it's a cause for celebration.
♦When Iran chooses to wear her larger hijabs, which extend to cover all of her face but her eyes, she is either doing one of two things: Trying to hide her emotions, or trying to put a barrier between her and the world.
Strengths: Iran is a very determined and hardy country, and it would take a lot to put her down permanently, considering how many different Empire she has arisen as. She can also be very diplomatic, if need be, and will not easily rise to anger, except over a few things. Having been alive for so long, the nation is very knowledgeable, and is highly experienced in combat, giving her quite good reflexes, and an able body. She is very loyal to those she considers friends, and can be quite cunning at opposing those whom she considers enemies.
The nation also has a very good memory, able to recall things from thousands of years ago. Iran is also a quite fast reader, and has very elegant and practiced handwriting. She is quite good at things like sculpting and carving, as well as working with metal. The Iranian can also empathize with people very easily, having plenty of experiences, and at least one that was similar. Finally, she has a pretty singing voice, though she doesn't sing very often.
Weaknesses: Iran is a bit too arrogant, at times, and that has been her downfall many times in the past. She is also a bit too greedy for power, always wanting to get back on top of the world, before she falls and crumbles yet again. The nation is a bit vain, as she gets highly irritated when people insult her looks, though not as much as other nations are. She is also very stubborn, and though that can be a good thing (see above), she'll sometimes just keep going when she shouldn't, and end up losing more.
She is also not very strong, and cannot articulate her thoughts well on paper. Iran can also be petty, at times, and if she holds a grudge, she holds it well, and forever. Because she is one of the oldest nations, she always feels like she knows better than the others, though that is not always true. The nation is also horrible at understanding foreign customs, and can often get confused when having casual conversation with an unfamiliar country. She is also absolutely terrible at sports, beyond belief, and is absolutely clueless at what to do when it comes to romance in any way shape or form.

Allies:
North Korea - The two of them join forces on their nuclear projects, working together quite well. Iran considers him a friend, albeit knowing that their friendship is strange.
India - The two nations are very friendly with each other, with friendly relations in many areas, and Iran enjoys visiting them.
Pakistan - Pakistan and Iran are very old friends, and have remained that way even when their governments have been aligned against one another.
Sudan - Though they initially became allies because of their shared animosity towards Israel and America, the two support each other, though they are not friends.
Georgia - Georgia is another one of Iran's older friends, though they are quite younger than Iran, and they have not known each other nearly as long as Pakistan and Iran. They are one of Iran's most important trading partners.
Brazil - Despite not knowing each other until recently, Iran and Brazil have grown increasingly closer, and she considers them one of her good friends.
Palestine - Iran supports Palestine in what they wish today, especially when it comes to Israel, whom she favors underneath Palestine.
Enemies:
America - Iran hates him, to put it simply, as she sees him as someone who has no authority to interfere in her business, and is far too arrogant for his own good. They oppose each other so much, that their interests, when meetings take place in the other's country, are handled by another nation. (Pakistan for Iran, Switzerland for America).
Iraq - She reserves a deep loathing for this nation, above all others. Their long history is mostly bad, with the two arguing all the time, but when Iraq invaded Iran in 1980... Things went from bad to worse. The first person she would nuke, but, unfortunately, they're a little too close to home to be comfortable with.
Israel - The two female nations used to be quite close friends, but recently their opposing differences have driven them apart, making Iran not truly recognize Israel as a country, and choose Palestine over her. Despite this, however, she cares for the other, but would never admit it.
Saudi Arabia - Except for a short period of 11 years, the two nations have never gotten along, no matter how they've tried. They just clash without fault on either part, and it seems like they really can't stop getting on each other's nerves.
For the most part, Iran does not get along with the Middle East, as most of them sided with Iraq during the Iran-Iraq Wars.
Sample Post: It was pleasurable weather today, which made her clothes seem semi-lighter, at least. Iran stepped demurely through the streets of her country, all of her body covered except for her eyes, basket in hand. She was having Sudan over for dinner tonight, and the nation had just realized she was out of both figs and Turkish coffee, an absolute must when you were having people over. That, of course, meant that she had to go out and retrieve some. Besides, she could always use more figs.
Watching her people out of the corners of her eyes, Iran was pleased to see that they did not look unhappy, though some of the women looked uncomfortable, because of the heat. She always had to watch out for them, because the minds of her people were so divided at times, it was difficult to figure out what way would be the correct way. Contemplating what decision she should recommend to her Boss next time they had a meeting, Iran’s thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a loud voice up ahead. An American voice.
Picking up the pace quickly, the nation’s eyes narrowed as she caught site of the obnoxiously loud tourist, who thankfully was not the moron himself, as she had been worried. He was gesturing wildly, speaking far louder than he should, and generally reminding her of America. Oh, how she wanted to- Taking a deep breath, and forcing herself to calm down, Iran pushed away thoughts of taking him hostage, of threatening the other nation with him. Visibly easing, she turned away, retrieving her needed figs and coffee, before returning home.
Should she read a book, to distract her from those thoughts? Or perhaps some sculpting? Looking at the time, and, seeing that Sudan would not be there for a few more hours, Iran headed off in the direction of the phone. She could call Pakistan, talking to her about America, and getting it all off her chest. Or, she could call North Korea, and they could do a bit of planning… A slight smile twisting her face as she pulled off her hijab and dialed the number, Iran was once more pleased. She knew a perfect way to distract herself.
