Okay, so maybe he'd been a lot more optimistic this morning, when it had seemed like such a good idea to have a bunch of other nations around and get the chance to really develop ties with them. Although Alfred had to admit that he definitely knew most nations in passing, and quite a few of them by name, when it came to knowing them on a personal level, well...
...Well, that was what this whole thing was about! Right? Of course right! But of course, it was also important not to crowd around everybody and ruin things right at the get-go. So while everyone else was up on the other floors getting their stuff settled in, Alfred took advantage of already being unpacked to head down into the basement.
He hadn't really checked things out down here yet, so it seemed like a reasonable thing to do. There were supposedly two rec rooms, a big one and a small one, and since the small one was closest to the stairs Alfred opted to head in there first and see what he could find in it.
...It turned out to be a room with several plush couches, a moderately-sized plasma TV mounted to the wall, a chest that turned out to be full of random DVDs, and...something else.
"Oh my god..." Alfred began, uncaring that he was speaking instead of thinking at the moment. "...FOOSBALL TABLE!" That gleeful cry was probably audible throughout the entire house, but Alfred didn't give that a thought. Scampering over, he looked over the foosball table eagerly. Little tiny faces painted perfectly, and they had the little uniforms...Alfred could barely play foosball himself, but the concept never failed to delight him. Oh man oh man oh man, he just had to get one of the other nations to play with him! ---- - Small rec room has foosball. COME AND HANG OUT WITH ALFRED IF YOU'RE DONE UNPACKING. :D

Yong Soo had finally finished unpacking his things in his room on the third floor. He was pleased to find he had been assigned one of the largest rooms in the house, with his own bed and dresser and nice still his room mate was none other than Francis.
Yong had ALWAYS gotten along with Francis after their signed Treaty of Friendship. Yong had always enjoyed the Frenchman's company whether it be a night on the town or a roll under the bedsheets. Things never got boring with him around. He was actually well matched for this project so no worries there. He stowed his bags in the closet and shrugged the leather jacket off his shoulders. He wore a form fitting black tanktop underneath, a pair of dogtags hung over his collarbone, faded denim jeans and black ankle boots.
He smoothed the hair back fro his brow, glancing in the mirror nearby. His hair had grown out a little, soon he would deffinately need a trim. He slid his fingers through his hair gathering it behind his head and tying it into a very small ponytail, his shorter bangs fell loose and teased over his brow. He smiled at the reflection of the handsome asian man smiling back at him. Well maybe it didn't look too bad.
He stepped out into the hall and despite the fact of wanting to pester the German and Israeli making out in the hallway, he decided to let them get reaquainted, besides he was sure they would get bothered by one of the other nations wandering around. Nah instead there was someone else he would rather see.
Once he reached the first floor, a yell could suddenly be heard coming from the basement level.
"...FOOSBALL TABLE!"
A couple of the other nations that were around rolled their eyes or peered at the door in annoyance. Yong just shook his head with a chuckle and made his way to find the American downstairs. He hadn't had much time to greet Al as he wanted too. It hadn't been long since he had confessed his feelings to Al but for some reason it seemed forever ago. He had been so scared and nervous, but the American had seemed to accept it and even said he loved him in return.
Their relationship was 'interesting' to say the least. They hadn't really gone very far, and surprisingly the Korean was happy with that. Love was a whole new thing to him. It was something spiritual and moving. Warm and satisfying. They had agreed to be discreet about it as they explored it. Leaving themselves open to seek the physical elsewhere, still preserving thier close friendship while the budding romance was given room to grow.
He made his way down to the rec room to see Al gushing over his find. He smiled as he stepped into the room "Geeze Al, could you be a little louder i don't think the neighbors six miles away heard you" he steps up to the American. His brown gaze softening as he leans in close, pressing his mouth to his, smiling against the blonde man's lips "You're a piece of work Al" he teased.

The more he examined the foosball table, the more Alfred liked what he saw. Someone must have had a sense of humor, because the two 'teams' this table had were painted to look like the English and Spanish teams from the World Cup. Soccer might be one of Alfred's less-than-favorite sports, but he paid enough attention to know the basics of who was doing what at major soccer-related events.
The fact that the 'Spanish' team had little happy Antonio faces on them while the 'English' team all bore Arthur's unmistakable scowl (and eyebrows) didn't hurt when it came to identifying which team was which, either. Alfred was just pushing one of the England-foosballers back and forth with his finger when he heard Yong Soo's voice.
"Geeze Al, could you be a little louder I don't think the neighbors six miles away heard you." Leaning over the table as he was, Alfred only had to shift a little bit to turn his head toward the doorway. As expected, South Korea had indeed just entered the rec room. Alfred tried not feel too embarrassed about it: that had been pretty loud, huh? "Aww, but...but foosball!" Alfred whined. He couldn't get any more than that out due to Yong Soo intercepting Alfred's next words with his mouth. A teeny-tiny shiver worked its way through Alfred's spine as he pressed his lips into the brief kiss. This relationship-kind-of-thing he and Yong Soo were working on was new...in more ways than one, to be sure. While Alfred had no worries when it came to having Yong Soo as his friend, when it came to breaking this new ground a hint of sheer terror kept rolling around in his guts. ...But dwelling on that involved thinking, which Alfred avoided on principle. "You're a piece of work Al." Alfred grinned, slinging his arm around Yong Soo and hugging the other nation close that way. He couldn't immediately think of a good response to the other's tease, so instead Alfred moved the conversation right past it. "Hey, do you know how to play foosball? I mean, I don't play it that well myself, but it's fun! Plus, I think this is a custom table! Be a shame letting it go to waste," Alfred eagerly asked. Flicking the head of the England-foosballer with his fingers, Alfred sent the little tiny Arthur replica head-over-feet as he waited to see if Yong Soo wanted to play. Of course, there would be plenty of time to have a game of foosball...but Alfred was pretty sure he'd never be able to wait that long! ---- - Adorable foosball table is adorable~

He smiled as Al draped an arm around him, his own draping around the blonde man's waist in turn. He looks over the board, his brown eyes glitter in amusement. "Looks like someone has a sense of humor." He turns his head to meet Al's gaze as the American spoke.
"Hey, do you know how to play foosball? I mean, I don't play it that well myself, but it's fun! Plus, I think this is a custom table! Be a shame letting it go to waste,"
"Of course I know how to play!" he chuckles, looking over the board "So I guess this means you're challenging me to a game?" He casts him a sideways smirk before pressing a quick kiss to the taller man's jaw. He then moves out from his hold and wanders to the opposite side. "You're on. I'll be Toni. He did pwn Iggy after all didn't he?"
He stepped up to his side and and looked over his 'team' "Wow they went into really good detail, I'm almost worried I'll scratch or wear and tear it. But it would be a shame not to break it in." he smirks over at the American.
"Last chance to back out Al. I hope you're ready..." he chuckled amusedly.

Much to Alfred's delight, Yong Soo agreed to play!
(Also to his delight, he got another kiss. Kissing and being kissed by Yong Soo was something Alfred had decided that he really could get very comfortable with, even if the other stuff was...well, you know.)
Though the fact that the Korean picked the Spanish team just because Antonio had kicked Arthur's ass in the World Cup was a little...well, that didn't mean anything, but it was a good thing England himself wasn't here to listen to it. Arthur would not have let it pass, and then when would Alfred get to play foosball with Arthur out to revenge-match against the tiny little Antonios?
"Last chance to back out Al. I hope you're ready..." That grin made Alfred suddenly a little more nervous. Yong Soo probably meant it when he said he knew how to play, which was a lot more than Alfred could say about the game. Despite his enthusiasm, he wasn't very good at it...possibly due to all the soccer-ness. But he just grinned back instead. Alfred wasn't gonna back down that easily! "Dude, if you think I'm gonna back down from foosball...bring it on!" he declared. The little foosballs were painted up like soccer balls too, and as Alfred swung the tiny Arthurs back and forth trying to hit the things past the tiny Antonios, his grin just got wider and wider. ...Though despite his enthusiasm, there was still the clear fact that Alfred wasn't good at foosball slowing him down.

Tino had gotten bored of leaning against the railing of the porch after several minutes of loitering unnoticed. Giving a self-sympathetic little sigh (I'm never noticed on an international scale.), he decided the best course of action would be to find something productive to do. He'd already done the others a favor by turning the thermostat of the second floor down so much that raw meat could surely be stored there without spoiling, and he'd more or less stashed his belongings safely away in his room. What could he do now?
"Ah!" he breathed, a smile spreading across his round face. I should check out the rest of the house! The Finn had been so caught up in the meet-and-greet taking place outside that he hadn't remembered to find anything besides his and Hungary's bedroom.
Trotting back inside, he took a moment to inspect the first floor which he'd passed over without so much as a second glance before. Immediately to his left was a den and to his right a large bedroom. Opting to explore the great room, he gave it a quick inspection before crossing into the kitchen. Of course there were important things to figure out here - was there liquor, and if so, how much? Flipping open cabinets and rummaging through drawers, he eventually discovered several cases of beer, a few bottles of wine and far too little vodka. This was enough for maybe a few days, but what about after that?
I wonder if I can walk into town and buy some later?
Pushing the idea to the back of his mind, he continued through the kitchen, noting a bathroom on his left as he crossed into the hallway. Here there was a staircase that led downstairs.
I didn't know there was a basement! Thinking briefly that it might have been a wise idea to have at least looked at the house layout beforehand, he waved the idea away and trotted down the steps.
About halfway down, he was met with a boisterous "...bring it on!"
Alfred again, huh? I wonder what's happening.
Rounding the corner, he stumbled upon the American and the Asian standing at either end of a large, strange looking table. He'd seen these before - table football, right?
Giving a happy "Haloo!" to announce his presence, he walked a bit closer to inspect the game. He'd apparently just walked in as the challenge was being laid. "Table football, hei?" He laughed a bit at the obviously Spanish and English teams just before he gasped, a great (or so he thought) idea forming in his mind.
"Oi, can I be the sportscaster or the cheerleader or..." He paused, motioning to the Spanish team, before continuing, "Paul or something?" Unless there was a car, a gun or ice involved, Tino didn't consider himself to have much of an athletic ability. He did, however, know a great deal about sports and was good at keeping up with what was going on.

"Dude, if you think I'm gonna back down from foosball...bring it on!"
The Korean chuckled lightly, a playful glint in his eye "You're on Al, but don't say I didn't warn you!" He grinned brightly as he took hold of the little soccer ball and and twirled it expertly between his fingers "How cute they're little soccer balls!" he smirks at his opponent "You ready Al?"
"Haloo! Table football, hei?"
Yong turned his head and nodded to the Fin "Anyeong Tino! Yeah Al challenged me to a game and he's going down hard core!" he teases the American with a bright grin. He looks back at Tino as the Fin looked over the pieces, chuckling lightly "It's quite an interesting getup..."
"Oi, can I be the sportscaster or the cheerleader or..." Yong chuckled as Tino pointed to his team "Paul or something?"
"Sure whatever you want. You ok with that Al?" he glances at the American before turning his gaze back to the Fin "You can also challenge the winner if you want." he sets the ball on the tip of the mini chute taking one last smirk at his opponent and letting it go, watching it fall onto the field. Immediately Yong was turning the handles with great speed, hie dark eyes darting back and forth as it followed the little soccer ball around.

Alfred was more than content to grin back in the face of Yong Soo's words. Oh, he knew full well what his chances were of actually winning...especially since he had the vague idea that Yong Soo probably played soccer more than Alfred himself did, which would probably give him some kind of advantage in foosball. But the point was that the game was fun - and the longer they stood around talking, the longer it would take for the game to start
"Haloo! Table football, hei?" Lifting his head away from the awesomeness of the foosball table, Alfred took a moment to register who'd just entered the rec room. Tino must have come down to see what all the fun was about! "It's foosball, Tino," Alfred corrected, grinning. "Oi, can I be the sportscaster or the cheerleader or...Paul or something?" Tino was pointing to the tiny Antonios when he said that...Alfred wasn't sure who Paul was, but Yong Soo clearly got the joke. And he suggested Tino play the winner, which was fine with Alfred. "Sure, I don't mind!" Alfred replied. And with that, the tiny little foosball was released onto the field and the game began! ...A game that, as Alfred expected, he immediately started failing at. Not that you could tell from his expression - Alfred was having way too much fun spinning and tugging the handles around, sending the little Arthurs scurrying to try and defend their side of the table.

"Foosball?" Tino repeated, the word coming out a bit strange. He could have sworn that his English lessons had taught him that the term for the game was table football. Maybe America wanted to make up his own name for it so he could claim it as his own, or something. I'll just call it pöytäjalkapallo like I always do, then! he decided happily.
"Sure, I don't mind!"
"Ah, great!" the Finn chirped, giving a little fist pump before bringing that hand down in front of his mouth, making a loose fist as if he were holding something round just inches in front of his face.
"Hello and welcome to the opening round of the first-ever Nation-Spirit Pöytäjalkapallo Championship!" he called happily into the make-believe mic as Alfred released the ball onto the wooden field.
"What a beautiful day it is for this sport! And now to introduce the players!" Gesturing to Alfred and the little English game pieces, he announced, "The home team today is the fearsome Ameri-British Team! But will they be able to hold the title of champion after facing..." he paused to motion to Yong before finishing with a spirited, "South Korean-Spanish team?!"
Of course there was no purpose to his announcing. Alfred and Yong were his only audience, and they already [hopefully] knew who they were. Still, it was fun.
