Mood: however I feel, I'm too old for it...
Listening to: “Pois Kalliosta” – Happoradio
Sometimes I really do feel like the soon-to-be 94 year old man that I am. *sigh*
There's just way too much happening right now. Too much change, too much unrest... I just want to nap recently. My bosses are still confident about the Greek bailout, but we've got bigger problems right now.
Blue1 pilots went on strike earlier this week because of job cuts. There's so much talk of racism and extremism and terrorism and all those kinds of isms. Police are getting really involved in some things, too. No one's really sure just how stable the stock market is right now, but the rate of inflation is still accelerating. Pretty soon milk's going to be twenty euros a carton. Our foreign trade minister thinks the Libya opt-out was a mistake because it (more or less) would've made us look like we care about foreign security more.
And then there's the euro implosion. I'm scared, but I feel like there's nothing I can do about it. I'm going with Herra Katainen to meet with Germany's boss next week to talk about measures that can be taken to stabilize our currency.
There are a few things keeping me going right now.Hard liquor is one of them. The school year has started, and I'm proud of my young people for getting an education. I hope they'll be able to find jobs. And the election preparations are still going well. At least there's that.
Yes, a nap definitely sounds good. I bid you all good evening; I'm going to sleep away my troubles and dream of how easy things were when I was living with the Saami peoples.
