I said hello to a couple of you, but celebrations were going on and I lagged myself out of almost every conversation, so sorry about that. Definitely not intentional!
Anyway, Hi. I’m going to be your new Cpt. Crankypants, for better or worse. I’ve RPed Hetalia and Arthur before, but dropped out of fandom for the last year or so and just got caught up on canon. (Whales, Puffins, I don’t even…)
Like a couple of other people on here (I think?) I’m from the UK, London specifically, which lets me cheat a bit on the research with his Highness over here. I am determinedly Not Watching Eurovision. At least until I know how badly we’ve lost this year.
Uhm. I’ve travelled a lot through Europe, Asia and the US. I don’t fall off a horse but if I called what I did riding I would probably ruin my karma forever. I suck at languages even worse than Iggy does, but I keep on trying. I’m impressed and kinda intimidated at how multi-lingual you all seem to be!
I’m omnivorous when it comes to RP styles and genres, and really look forward to hitting up as many of you in as many different times and places as possible. I have a little bit of a soft spot for the Age of Sail, the Medieval and...survival horror. One of these things has more to do with Silent Hill than the others.
Now it is 8am and oh my god I’m going to bed. <3 Nice to meet you all.

England, I don't think we've properly met yet. I'm Lithuania, although I also play Scotland, so hopefully we'll be seeing a lot of each other. ^_^;
Also, hurrah for someone else from the UK! I'm in Scotland and I think that you and I are the only two Brits on the board (I was so lonely before! XD).
I will be watching Eurovision with huge excitement. JEDWARD TO WIN!!!
Also...Silent Hill. Oh my God. Possibly an even bigger obsession of mine than Hetalia. Actually, no doubt about it... my biggest fandom obsession. I've been a crazy fangirl for...nearly ten years. ><
I think we're going to get on just great. ^__^

Hiii. We can be non-sleep deprived at the same time! Hang on, if you’re Scottish, then I totally remember your voice meme. Your accent is hypnotic and absolutely lovely, you know. I mean that in the non-creepiest way possible!
Oh god. Everyone keeps leaping out at me with that Gay Times Jedward cover. I WISH THEM WELL. I wish them well because people will hurt me if they lose, including half of England ^_^;
You know. I am seeing an AU section on this board. I don’t think anyone would be surprised if THERE WAS A HOLE HERE in the basement of England’s house. I am just saying. It’s entirely possible.

Hello, England! We talked in the Cbox yesterday, but I'm going to post on here anyway and give you an official welcome!
I play Seychelles and Ukraine on this site. Yeah, out of all the characters that Hetalia has, I go for the most obscure, random ones I can find. XD
I live in the southern U.S. I'm really jealous that you've traveled so much; I've never left America.
I speak English and some French. French, not Spanish, which everyone told me would be the most useful language to learn, living in a state where half the people speak it better than English. I guess I'm just not a rational person. Don't be too impressed, though. When I say "some French", I mean the basic stuff that my high school taught me. I'm not exactly fluent.
Oh, I should probably mention, I'm one of the youngest people here. I graduate from high school at the end of the month.
I ... have to admit that I don't know what Eurovision is. Or Jedward. *feels stupid*

Hei hei, England! We've definitely talked before because I'm in the cbox nearly 24/7, but as an admin, I should probably give a more official welcome, eh?
That being said, welcome! I have to say, your app was simply amazing! It made mine look elementary by comparison. Very nicely done!
I only RP Finland, so I'm generally not bogged down with threads if there's anything you want to have a go at. Not that our characters have a plethora of history together, but that's okay.
It's always fun to have foreigners! [At least from my perspective you guys are foreigners.] I'm from the States, myself. Like you, I probably won't be watching ESC this year. I'm just not that into any of the songs. Of course I'll continue to pull for Finland because... well, the obvious, as well as the fact that, as others have said, the song's definitely about Sealand.
You sound very well traveled! I've been through much of Western Europe and all across the States, but that's it for me. My uni major is half Spanish and I know we've got some bilingual folks here, so I'm sure we can teach you a few words every now and then if you'd like. And you seem to be saying that you used to ride? I took English saddle lessons for about four years but I highly doubt I could still post if I was sat up on a horse. orz
Ah, but I'm rambling. We thank you for choosing Darker![/air hostess]

Ahhh, what a lovely thing to say! I hope you'll do the voice meme too...you'll probably have half the Anglophiles here fangirling like mad, I'll wager. XD
....
(It's gone now...)
Oh God. England would be James.
It's going to be ace having someone else here on the same time zone. I added you on MSN, I hope that's ok?

Hey, looks like you got yourself a warm welcome there. Welcome to the board. I don't think we've met (I don't tend to like to chat in the chatbox nowadays). But that aside, I thought that your application was quite wonderful, albeit a little intimidating. It's nice to see all the little details and nuances that you have injected in England.
Anyway, I'm technically a "UKer," though I haven't done much except go back to London to visit relatives... and make fun of the ones that live in Manchester. My father lived in London (first in Heathrow and then in Bayswater) growing up, though we're not ethnically English (we're actually Latin/Asian, which is a bit of a weird combination?). You seem pretty well traveled! We should compare notes, I've done quite a bit of travelling myself (granted, it's mostly my parents shipping me to my relatives to keep me out of trouble). Oh, and I like football. A lot.
Eurovision. I. Refuse. To. Watch. It is just, ugh. A coworker of mine likes watching it, but I always find it a disappointment.

Bonjour Angleterre. ~
I am not what you would call fluent in other languages, so don't feel bad there. I can read in French and speak it a tiny bit, but my spelling really sucks so I rarely use it in writing. As for the Russian, I am far better with it than French, but not fluent yet. I need to work on my cases more. And I think a lot of people on here actually only speak English, so you're not alone.
I am not that well traveled sadly. I envy you there. I have been all over the US and into Canada once, but other than that I have not been anywhere else. I actually might be stationed in the UK or France after my training though in the Air Force. So I am hoping to get to travel then.
Anyways, welcome to Darker. ~

@ Seychelles - Hi. Ironically, you know, the South is one place I never got to see and I always wanted to, so you have one up on me there. As for Eurovision, it’s like the worst kind of chemically flavoured sour gummy. There is no nutritional value, it’s awful for you and turns your tongue funny colours, but you can’t stop eating it because it tingles. …or maybe that’s just me. I look forward to pirating off your shores very soon! @ Fin - Psssh, foreigners, I ask you. Next you'll be telling us you don't obey the Queen. Thank you for the kudos! I’ve never written an app anywhere NEAR that involved before; no game has ever asked me to. I don’t like to take too much credit for all his little tweaks, because being English lets me cheat hugely. A lot of them are just…things that bother us, and so they must bother him! I actually ride currently, but I hesitate to say I can because while I enjoy it greatly, competence is somewhat lacking. WHAT is this about Sealand? @ Lith - England is definitely James. They are both made of fail--it just takes the entire game to realise. Also, Hamish is going to spit ‘Bru out of his nose when Arthur gets around to telling him what’s going on. P.S. bring a lighter would you. P.P.S. actually how about an axe. P.P.P.S. Help. Of course I don’t mind. Added! @ Spain – I’m thrilled people liked it, so thank you. A little embarrassed, even. Like I said above, I’ve never written an app anywhere near that involved before, but I hope it wasn’t intimidating because I sure have my days of not being able to put one word in front of another. Bayswater! I’m from the South West, so I was never around up there much but I know the area. Haa Oh man I’ve got a Scouser friend, and you should hear her go. Where did you nip off to, if I may ask? To what sunnier shores and better paid benefits did we lose you? We should definitely compare notes, as I’m always around (yes, around Europe…) @ France – Now see, this is where no-one understands the English when they say “I can’t speak foreign languages”. The rest of the world: “Oh, I’m not that good. I can read five different languages but my spelling is awful!” English: “Oh, I’m not that good. Er. *point at this thing. Gesture to mouth.* IS IT CHICKEN?” Hey, that’s pretty awesome about the Air Force. If you’re ANYWHERE in Europe, so easy to get to the rest of it! What track are you going for?

Ah, but it's hard to be understood in another language when you lack grammar skills. So I never count myself as fluent or all that capable. Also, the American accent tends to sound dreadful with other languages. Or at least, it does in my case. >< So at least the Brits are man enough to admit when they can't speak another tongue? And are perhaps saved the embarrassment of sounding like 'tards as they try to piece stuff together? XD
As for the Air Force, I am trying to get into crypto linguistics. I have to take a test on the 18th in fact to get into it. So here's to hoping I can pass that. ~

Unfortunately, for me, it's been taking longer than usual to get any words out. However, hopefully after this weekend, things will get a bit better. Regardless, hey, it's the quality that counts, no? Though I won't say no to quantity either. Oh, are you now? Haha- small world, isn't it? Anyway, to answer your question, I moved to the United States when I was young, so honestly, no one here could really tell except there's an occasion when I use British terms. Granted, usually people don't think too much about it... I think. But growing up, I got teased a lot for speaking funny. :c Scouser friend? I'm curious to what she goes on about -- but then again, I can imagine. Well, I have one as well, from my university days. He's very quiet about it though, so we don't really have arguments much -- though I cheer for Chelsea. But then again, I also cheer for Barcelona as well, of which I usually stay mum about unless I'm with my Spaniard friends because it seems that they are pretty hated amongst the community here. As for sunny, I don't know if I would say that, the weather isn't too different from London most of the time, colder for at least half of the year. However, the summer is quite enjoyable -- my dad has been trying to convince me to relocate back to Europe (Spain to be exact, or back to London), but I figured that I would have to wait a few years before I can do that. My firm's global HQ is in London, so we will see about that. As for comparing notes, hm... you have MSN? Perhaps we can be buddies on there~! I have a feeling that there is quite a bit that we can talk about.

LOLOL. Listen to your average Brit trying to speak French, mate. You'll soon find out why they hate us. But mostly, goodluck on that exam!
